Does your wedge set match?

Ex. Sand Wedge and Lob Wedge both Ping Tour's...

or do you have a SW and LW made by two different companies?

I'm thinking about getting just one Titleist vokey for now...just the SW since my Ping Tour 60 is 6 months newer than my Ping Tour 56...

Do you think it really matters?

I think it's nice to have matching clubs. But what it comes down to is how well you hit them. Getting the ball in the cup is what matters, not matching sticks.

When I started, I was like, "I need to get matching everything!" Boy was I wrong. lol.

Do you find that you lose some feel bouncing between each or not really?

My Approach Wedge and Pitching Wedge are both TM R7's and my Lob Wedge is a Momentus.

Yes the feel is very different between the R7's and the Momentus, but then again the Momentus is designed to be heavy.

Not really (with those 2) because I like the feel of them. I do however, have a tougher time with my distances going from my MP32 PW to my 54'

I have a Ram 56 and Cleveland 60. I like them both now that I can hit my 60..

What's the best way to try and see which wedge is best for you?

I play with matching wedges but my buddy plays with ping and calloway wedges and he is a 3 handicap golfer that plays consistently every week.

I like matching for the reason that when im around the green, i like that the feel between my lob and sand wedge feel the same, makes me feel more consistent.

Plus i like the way vokeys look alot more than any other wedge.. so i match them so that i have more conficdence.

Yes my game is very feel driven.

No mine never match in terms of brand or model, I buy whatever I like the look/feel of with whatever loft/bounce/sole grind configuration I am after.

However, they DO always match in terms of shaft model and flex (DG S300) and the grips always match the rest of my clubs within reason and the swingweight is ALWAYS D7. The swingweight often poses problems, in the past I have had to use massive amounts of lead tape, use small amounts of lead tape, drill and plug with tungsten inserts to add weight or drilled holes in them or ground the back (or sole if needed) to reduce weight.

Sometimes I have bent them to increase or decrease loft, in case you haven't worked it out yet I am a bit pedantic when it comes to wedges!

i seriously think i'm going to go to 4 wedges...but i don't like the gap i'm going to be creating between my hybrid and 4 iron!

if i have an 8.5º driver, a 13.5º 3 wood and then a 19º hybrid, the next club is a 24º 4 iron. I'd really like to have a 51, 55, 59 setup after my 47º pw but, is that better than creating this gap between my hybrid and 4 i?

Yes. I was only going to get a 60*, but once I hit the Mizuno forged wedge I decided go get three. My old Cleveland 588s were a few years old anyway.
