Anyone here play Piper Glen before? Headed down there thursday and wanted to see if anyone here had any feedback on the course.

i play there a few times a year... pick the right tee box and it's not too bad of a course. a few forced carries. all the greens are massively undulating... lots of break on the putts, and they're usually fast... if it's still set up like the US Am. qualifier on Mon. was then GOOD LUCK. if you keep the ball in play and hit the greens or keep you misses to a minimum you should be ok. have fun and post back on what you shot and how it was... i'm actually thinking about playing there on Sunday.

Thanks for the info, but there was a change of plans, and we're playing TPC at Deere Run tomorrow instead (couldn't get off till late at Piper). I'll def. have to make it down to Piper Glen though and play some time. Looks and sounds like a really nice course.

My old high school's golf team played and practiced at Piper Glen. I wasn't on the golf team, but two of my friends were, and they never had anything bad to say about it. Of course, my family moved before I had the chance to play it.

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
