Multiple Sets of Golf Clubs

Just wondering about multiple sets of clubs and whether you have multiple sets of irons and just swap out the driver, woods, and short irons or did you purchase a full compliment of everything for each set. I just purchased a second set of irons and was wondering how most handled similar situations. My first set is only a year old but I just could not resist the price of the second. Now, I just have to convice the wife that its all one BIG set of clubs

I bought each set for game improvement about every 2-5 years and play with my favorite putter, driver and 3 wood.

I have two complete sets, now. My brother in law uses when he visits. He doesn't use the 3 or 5 woods:

I hope to stick with my current putter Scottie Cameron Bulls eye platinum blade for a long, long time. I don't know what to do with 3 putters. I am thinking about losing the Newport 2.

Ive got 2 sets of irons right now. One is the set of Knight Virage irons I bought when I first started playing golf and the other is a set of Titleist DCI 981s that I recently bought.
Ive thought about getting rid of the Knights, but they really arent worth anything and it seems like such a shame to just throw them away.
Ive only got 1 fairway wood and 1 driver, plus Ive still got 1 Titleist hybrid as well as 3 putters. I may try to Ebay the hybrid and 2 of the putters because once my Red X gets here, I doubt the Wilson Augusta or Titleist Bulls-Eye will see any use. Not sure what I would get for the putters, but I guess anything is better than them sitting in the closet collecting dust.

I have 4 sets of irons, 4 drivers, 3 putters, and 2 sets of wedges. The first set I bought all at once when I first started (around 12) and are some cheap wal-mart/sam's club set of irons and woods, the second set is when I started to get a little better (16ish) which are nike pro-combos I still play and ping driver and 3-wood. Then I have a set of Hogan blades I bought when I was going through my "I'm really good" phase a few years ago when I made my college team. Went back to the Nike's and am so glad I didn't get rid of them. I can probably get rid of the old Wal-mart set now, but will always keep at least 2 sets at all times, just in case I decide I don't like the set I am using. The first tee suggestion is a good one though if you do decide to let go of them. Just make sure you do want to get rid of them 100% before you do.

When I first started, i bought a complete set of golf stuff from Acuity (dicks sporting goods). As I got better I finally bought Ping irons and bought other clubs. My old set I keep around for when I have out of town guests in who might want to play, or beginners who want to play a round.
