swampy course

I got to this new place today and the guy says "its only a little wet out there". Come to find out its a swamp, puddles everywhere. I have never played so bad in my life, i kept taking divots every shot and could not get a clean shot on the ball. I still ended up with a 111 and lost every ball in my bag.

Sounds like winter golf here in Portland. Last year I took all of the irons out of my bag other than my SW (even though the bunkers were usually flooded as well!) and added a 7w and 9w, and played nothing more than a 2/3 shot from the fairway. I actually shot my best scores that way, which is kind of sad.
