Just got back into the game after a 10 year hiatus. When I played before I sucked and it got to the point that I just wasn't having any fun so I quit.

A couple of my cousins suckered me into going again this year ( they basically kidnapped me and took me to the course ), anyway I got hooked again. That was about 2 months ago, been playing once a week since.

I'm supposed to be taking a lesson as soon as me and the pro at the local course can get our schedules worked out, looking forward to it and hopefully watching the scores come down.

I've been lurking around reading alot of post for a few weeks, lots of good info on here.

Hey, just moved out to Northern Colorado from K.C.

There are some good courses there, K.C. is underrated as an affordable golf destination.

I am looking for a nice course in central or northern Missouri to play at the end of Feb. or the first of March. Live in central Iowa. Any recommandations? Want to make it a weekend trip with 3 buddies.

I vacationed near KC in 2008 and played Excelsior Springs golf club over the summer. While I'd never seen a course with no sand traps before, it was challenging. With the elevation changes, it seems longer than the 6600 yards it claims with wicked rough. The clubhouse is built around the original clubhouse, which is from the 30s I think. Kinda neat. I thought it was worth the price to play ($35ish). Unlike Shirkeys in Richmond....

Also, try to get properly fit for clubs. This will help the game be more fun and help you improve quicker.
