If you can handle blades then the ZB but the AP2 is pretty good and has good feel so i'd rather go with AP2s

Kinda what I'm thinking. Though my game is coming along nicely and I love the 57's. sometimes I wish I had something just a wee bit easier to hit when I am feeling "less than" my game ya know. I still want the feel and feedback and those AP's are looking good right now.

If you want forgiviness, Id go with the AP2s. They are more of a cavity-back than the ZBs and should be more forgiving.

i hit both the ap2 and ZB irons at my edwin watts and the zb's was by far lighter and felt more feedback and more of a "Players" set of irons..... the ap2 were nice smooth and felt just a little different from my ap1's...... either one they are both amazing sets of golf clubs and you wont be disappointed by either one.....

From the reviews I have read, I would stick with your MP-57's. You aren't going to get THAT much more forgiveness with AP2's.

Honestly though, if you really dig your MP-57s, I think Id stick with those. Why mess with something that works?

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.
I have no intentions of leaving my 57's behind. The reason I am looking for another set of irons is I now have somewhat of a need for two actual sets of clubs. One to leave at our summer getaway campergrounds which is next door to a small course I joined, and the other for everything else. I basically have extras of woods, etc, just lacking the irons, so wanting to try something different from the 57's. And to be honest, the curioisty is appealing too! I might even wait until winter here in Ohio and try to snag a used set cheaper if I can.

While were at it and they have been brought up, feel wise, how do the ap1 differ from the ap2? As one would expect?
I'm going to try and find a dealer with them in stock to try, but not having much luck at this time.

I am glad I am not the only one wanting to try the Titleist clubs. I played 762's for years before switching to the mp57's. I am really considering the AP2's myself. Not sure I can handle the zb set all the time. I read on another forum where two guys had switched from mp57 to ap2.

I have the AP2 but I tried the MP-57 and the ZB. First I hit the ZB and they were pretty good. Then I tried the MP-57's and they are amazing, I was taking out my credit card to but those but then I tried the AP2 and they feel awesome, so I stick with the AP2.

I got my AP2's about 2 months ago and I have to say that they are the best irons I have hit. I got mine with the shafts 3/4" extended from standard and 2 degrees upright. They are very easy to hit.

I've had the AP2's for a few months now, they are by far the best club I've ever hit. I've never hit long irons better or more consistently. I hit the ZB's but the feel wasn't nearly as good as the AP2, the ZB's were too much like my old 735CM's and i wanted something a little more forgiving. I do have a noticeably higher ball flight with the AP2 but it's not enough to make that much of a difference.

I love the feel and forgiveness of the AP2s (PX5.5), but have been disappointed in my ball flight after purchasing a used set of MP-33s (Rifle 6.5) and comparing the two. I can definitely get the longer irons to go higher with the AP2s. Is it worth the hassle to just get these clubs reshafted? It feels like I am just lobbing balls up in the air with my AP2s. Sorry to be off topic a bit. Back on topic...AP2 irons are great!

Looks like I might have to try and figure out a way to snag some Ap2.
So, I am clueless on project x shafts. Now I play sensicore regualrs in my 57's, but think I need to move up to a stiff. What PX shaft would be similar to the DG stiff?

From my research and experience with both shafts, if you have DG regular and want to move a stiffer shaft, the PX 5.5 should be your starting point. The 5.5 is pretty close to the DG S-300. IMO a little less stiff than the S-300 but stiffer than the regular.

I am actually torn between the ZB and AP2 myself. I am going to try and spend some quality demo time with both and figure it out.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

R300 is 5.0

Those are approximate, of course, since the DGs are more by weight (S300 vs. S400) and the flex actually varies from 5.5 to 6.0.

Also, best most guys seem to figure, the S300 is more about like, say, 5.7 or so on the Rifle scale (for Project X anyway).
