I duno, that's what I recommended (shot shape anyway, not club) I personally would not like to hit a fade as would be worried about the ball drifting to far right (as this is my weak shot), for me personally an aggressive draw is more likely to take the bushes out of play than a fade, superior course management is designed to fit an individuals game, not text book decision making.

In your case, over-cooking a left to right shot could be dangerous. My miss would be to the left or straight (which isn't bad).

It sounds like you have more confidence that the ball will turnover as it flys the right side bushes. I'd prefer not to aim over trouble unless there is no choice. Different strokes

I would aim at the flag, and make sure I drew it off there, in theory a straight shot would be stiff and anything else would be left of the pin, this pin position would never be a birdie pin for me, so would just play for centre/left centre of green to hopefully guarantee my par.

Textbook course management would suggest playing a slight cut starting the ball at the middle of the green and letting it fade back towards the hole, this shot for me would bring to much doubt in to my mind and as a result would probably lead to a bad shot.

Interesting discussion...lots of different options.

If I had that shot I would bust a 6-iron right at the flag. With that club and that swing my miss would be short-left or just left. If I hit it perfect it should go straight, but if I overcook it will drift a little left so all the trouble is out of play. Maybe 10% of the time that shot would go to the right for me, so it would be a safe play.

There are lots of theorys here. Fade it to the right pin, hit it straight - just aim a little left, hit a draw over the bushes, etc. I don't think there is any correct answer. It is just what would you feel most comfortable with. If my name was Tiger and I could hit any shot I wanted to on demand, I would feel comfortable aiming between the bushes and the pin and hitting a draw. IMO if you hit a fade there is the chance that if it goes too far you'll end up in the bushes. Same is true for the draw, what if you don't draw it enough? Bushes. It really depends on the particular shot, but if I feel that I can move a ball that day, I tend to hit at the trouble and move it away from it. There are many factors that go into the thought process so each shot I might play a little different.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I'd take my 170 or 175 club and bang it hard at the right-center. Trying to cut a shot or playing an easy swing actually makes me miss right and/or short which is where the troubles are here. If I really banged on a club, 2 things might happen, I'll get a little more distance and I might actually pull it. That should put me somewhere between the middle right-center and the back left portions of the green. Either way on the green. But that's why I'm not single digit yet I suppose.

I would play for the middle of the green and give myself a chance at birdie and not bogey.

Well, here's what I did:

I thought, well, the greens are very slow so they will not release. To go straight at the flag, you will have to hit at least a 5i... That should carry over the bunker and at worse, it will leave me a mid uphill putt, easy birdie...

I hit a very good 5i, but it didn't carry over the bunker. Still managed to save par but I kinda meltted down over on the next few holes (finished +10, and I was pretty pissed)

In my bag:

Titleist 905 Aldila VS Proto| TaylorMade r9 stiff shaft| Titleist 906F Aldila NV 75-S Fairway| Titleist ZM S300 (3-PW) |Titleist 54º SM TT Wedge Flex| Titleist 60º SM TT Wedge Flex| Scotty Cameron Newport 2

09 Goals- Handicap to 2 (I'm crazy I know)- Win 10 tournaments (dune)- Win...
