Miura Irons

I bought my i10s for cost, and they've served as a great game improvement iron. I know my handicap is 10, but i can consistantly shoot in the high 70s and low 80s and my ball striking is good. Are Miura irons worth the money, there were rumors that Miura was making Tiger's Irons until 2003, and they stamping them with a swoosh. Any thoughts on the irons. I was thinking of getting the tournament blades.

I haven't played them, but if I were to get a second set of irons, they would be the ones I would go with. They are absolutely gorgeous. I love the look of a true muscle-back blade. I actually heard a rumor that Tiger was using Mizuno irons stamped with Titleist when he first turned pro.

Yeah I always heard he was using MP14 and MP29s as a combo set. And that Titleist made a set to these same specs for him. And later Nike did about the same.

There is one guy at my course playing Miura, and he is a rich, spoiled...well I'll stop there. Seems like conspicuous consumtion to the max. But truely you have to have the right tool for any job, and these are some quality tools.

I played the miura tournament blades before. It feels pretty soft and lets you work the ball well. When hit right it feels like butter. When hit wrong though IT BITES like what all other blades do. Since you strike the ball good I say buy the miura irons which are alittle more expensive but worth it

Some other club manufactures that forged good is kzg golf and scratch golf. Kzg is on the more affordable side (about 600) Scratch can cost u up to 2000!

If you like the feel of Mizuno you will like Miura's. They also forge samari swords so that should give you an idea of their quality. Pretty spendy, but you get what you pay for.

Despite how beautifully forged they are and how great they feel, I can't help but think that at your level your not going to get the most from Miuras, as has been previously recommended KZG and Scratch golf provide very good golf clubs.

In terms of value for money I would go Snake Eyes or something similar, In my opinion Miuras are too expensive for an amateur and will not be worth the money.

2nd that. I've demo'd their clubs b4 and let me tell you, they truly perform and inspire confidence (for me anyway). They would be in my bag if this whole "money" thing didn't come into play.

the tournament blades are AWESOME. I was fortunate enough to have been able to play a round with them. The feeling that I got out of those blades were so much better than the mizuno line..but then again you're comparing a blade to a cut muscle mid cavity. BUT they hurt on mishits..i mean hurt. ball striking with a cavity back is much different than a blade or even a 1/2 cb iron like the mp60. BUT once you hit them and groove your swing to it, I'm sure that you'll be cool. be prepared to lose more than 10-15 yards on a mishit..especially with the longer irons....you gotta have a sweet stroke to pure the 3,4 & sometimes even 5 iron in their tournament blade edition..but the clubs are awesome.
