AMAZING. Before the 2007 Open Championship, Padraig Harrington was on the list of Best Players to Have Not Won a Major. Now, he has won 3 of the last 6, and successfully defended his title in the Open Championship, the "Grandaddy" of all the majors. Finally, he won this year's Open Championship and today's PGA Championship by shooting 32 on the back nine of the final rounds!! Talk about charging to victory!! Congratulations to him---the Player of the Year for 2008!!!

He is amazing, and slowly becoming one of the best. if he can keep it up and win some non-majors. The Next Tiger for awhile?

I'm really pulling for him now, that is just freakin impressive.

Talk about putting for the dough too. I think he may be using the Rodney Dangerfield putter from caddyshack. Those putts he hit were pressure putts and not easy, thats what seperated him from sergio today.

When Tiger announced after the US Open that he would have surgery and be out until next year, many sportswriters and broadcasters asked the question, "Will ANY ONE step up and take his place?" We have received the answer to that question. His name is Padraig.

An indication of this is the question asked to the PGA Champion by Kelly Tilghman of The Golf Channel, who has gushed when talking about Tiger in the past--"Do you think that YOU can win the PADDY SLAM?" Padraig smiled and thought for a second. "Sure. Sure, I can. I am looking forward to the Masters." Now, that, my friends is called CONFIDENCE.

And the first since 1930, as they did tell us a few times. Ken Schofield made sure that he mentioned the name of the "Silver Scot"---Tommy Armour, who was that winner 78 years ago.

    • i hope it leads to close racing the first year it’s out and someone doesn’t came out way ahead todays race was good.  i think red bull are def not going to dominate the rest of season.  they may be best car overall but at certain tracks other cars are finding edges
    • new member here. After a 3 year layoff, back to 80's/90's player. Yesterday at West Dale Hills in hurst tx. was pushing my 9 iron to 132. I hit slightly fat and said"oh God I hit it fat. Tail wind must have helped as it 1 hopped onto green leaving an 18fter. Average putter so was shocked when it dropped. But my whole round was unbelievable as I shot 3 over 30 at a 9 hole par 3 course.
    • Really irks me they’ve done away with dip sticks for many cars. Being able to slip that tube down and do an oil change top side with minimal if any mess was golden.
    • Day 169: 6/9/24 Slow motion swings and putting through gates.
    • Being I have my new car :). I've been digging into proper maintenance. This came up on my YouTube feed today. I saved the timestamp of where he goes into oil change intervals.  Basically, more often than what your manufacturer recommends.  1. The oil manufacturer has an incentive to do fewer oil changes because they then have to get rid of less used oil.  2. It maintains the engine to the warranty. If you just lease cars, then do the manufacturer recommendations. You are not keeping this car past its warranty. If you want to keep a car for a long time, pass it down to a kid or something. Then change your oil sooner, and if possible get samples tested to know what type of wear is going on to predict failures. Certain parts have certain metals that can show up and tell you what is going on.  I plan on doing oil changes very 3000 miles. I want this car to last a long time. For me, it cost me like $40 bucks for the oil. It takes me like half an hour to do my own oil change.  Also, manufacturers see 1 quarter of oil usage per 1000 miles as acceptable. So, if you have a 5 quart oil level, and the recommended oil change is 15K miles. You better know if you are running low or not. Waiting till the indicator light comes on might not be the best practice.
