I see your handicap says 20ish, so I don't think blades would be a good option. If you want to have a more player type iron. Go for an iron type that is forged but has a full cavity, for example the Mizuno MP-57, and my Tommy Amour's are the same way.

Well comparing the Nike Blades, and the Titleist 755 and 775 is not easy, since neither of the Titleist's are blades, one is even a GI iron. The Nike's will be the hardest to hit, then the 755, and finally 775's.

Here's what I play:

The 775's are great irons. Very soft, very forgiving, easy(if you slice) to hit long irons, and very blade like short irons

The 755's have a very different feel, but pleasent.

Nikes- Love em. Blades. 'nuff said.

I shoot the CCI forged irons, and I like them a lot. I'm not so sure that you should be considering blades as the more forgiving irons just make sense and can only help you. Look it up, the winner of the Masters this year, Immelman, shot my exact same irons.

So, check the CCI irons out.

Just my two cents......

The Nike forged blades look great in the bag but unless you're hitting 14 greens a round or more with your current clubs I'd personally go with the more forgiving Titleist irons. Both are great club companies. I think that Titleist has things more dialed in for consistently but Nike is more innovative. Good luck with the decision!!!

PGA Tour pros don't hit 14 of 18 greens in regulation. The leader doesn't even average 13.

True iacas. But if they played the courses that we played everyday they would. Guaranteed.

The point remains: you can't recommend irons based on an unrealistic number of GIR.

I've hit just under 9 GIR/round for the year and I'm a 2.3 index. "Good clubs only if you hit 14 GIR" is a pretty silly thing to say. I doubt you hit 14 GIR, and if you do (as a +1.2), your short game and/or putting is terrible. Your comment was so unrealistic it's laughable. Now, back to topic, which hopefully won't include more silly requirements.

I just bought the 755's, so we'll see. From what I fear, they're great, solid, forgiving irons.

Now that you have the 755's we are sitting on the edge of our chairs to hear how many greens you hit in regulation.

ever notice that the Nike Swoosh is nothing but a whip in mid-swing? I'll probably get negative rep points for this as well...

For a 15 h'capper, do yourself a favour and go with the 775CB. Why make the game harder than it needs to be?
