Hey, I'll throw my hat into the analysis ring (watch out, Johnny Miller).

Mystery #1:
1. 17 Hcp
2. Slice right of green (probably played to a Bogey with a 2-putt)
3. Swing path on takeaway too far to the outside. Rushed downswing, trying to catch up, ends with jerky release with right foot oddly pivoted. Would take a more inside takeaway, and smooth out the downswing (keep head down, and watch the ground after strike)

Mystery #2:
1. 22 Hcp
2. 220 yd slicing sky launched pop-up
3. Plays ball too forward in stance. Base is very narrow which does not allow for much stability for weight transfer in takeaway. Gets too hippy as a result, and is out of rhythm. Ball is also teed up too high, aiding in the sky launch. Would tell him to widen base, play ball off left inside foot, lower teed position slightly, and slow down takeaway (keep down through swing).

Mystery #3:
1. 12 Hcp
2. Middle-right drive, around 240 yards.
3. Not enough rotation or wrist cocking in takeaway (needs to turn trunk more for increased tension). Not following through on finish. Would tell him to take a fuller backswing, get driver set further back which will set the wrists, and then slot the downswing for a fuller release. Bet it would add 40+ yds to the total.

Mystery #1:

They're all the same guy. You were supposed to guess his handicap based on the three swings...

I did! I based it on his three individual swings 'cuz he looked swung differently in each one (plus he changed his clothes to confuse us).

Alright, I'll take a straight average, and based on what I saw, the man's a 17.0.

1) I'd say that this person is around a 17-18 handicap.

2) For the the tee shot on the par three i think he pulled the ball to the left.
For the second video i think that he pushed the ball to the right.
For the 3rd shot i think that he hit a snap-hook to the left.

3) If i were to fix something about this golfer's swing it would be in his hips. When he swings he sways his hips which leads to inconsistency in accuracy and mishits that can go in both directions. When he sways and gets too far back he will not catch up to the ball and can push it to the right alot. He then tries to compensate for the pushes and shots to the right that he hits and pulls the ball which can lead to snap-hooks. I would keep his hips in a stationary position and not moving back and forth which will lead to straighter shots.

Contest over! The clown in the videos is me. Here are the answers:

1) Handicap = 18.1 2) Outcome #1 (Par 3): Slight cut shot to ten feet short of the pin - missed the birdie putt . Outcome #2 (Par 4): Big push right (OB). Outcome #3 (Down the line shot): slight cut that went through the dogleg a couple of feet into the rough. 3) Flaws. Besides the reverse pivot? Too strong of a left hand and a right hand that wants to roll under, too narrow of a stance with the driver and yes, I take the club a bit outside the target line. Based on the answers given, our winner is: bm303 (send a PM to iacas to claim your prize). Thank you to all who took the time to take a look and provide some feedback.

    • Good progress. I am finally feeling like I am settling my weight into my right foot earlier in the backswing. Right hip sinks back, right leg feels staying flexed. Feeling very stable and firm in the right leg. I feel like I could do a good squat with that right leg. Very balanced.
    • oops, forgot Pebble Beach and Spyglass.  And two more of the original Open rota, Prestwick and Musselburgh (with hickory shafted rentals).  And Muirfield.  And maybe a few more, I'll check my list when I get home.
    • Day 189 2-20 Really focused on rotating the forearms today with wrist arched. Did some single arm swings as well.
    • In March of 1978 I got to play Pebble Beach GC. Played it from the back tees, since I knew I'd probably never play it again. Oops, shot 102.  Three weeks later, I played Torrey Pines - South, again from the back tees (maybe 6,700 yds in those days). Shot an 87, and missed a birdie putt on the lakeside No. 18 green. In 2021, I played TPC Deere Run in the Quad Cities area. This is site of the John Deere Classic. It was early October and the course was undergoing renovation, so I got to play the front nine twice for $110, lunch included. The course was great and the driving range was unbelievable. Hint: you need to pay attention to the wind drafts before you try to challenge the cross bunkers! BTW, Deere Run is a public course. Norwood Hills Country Club is site of the Champions tour event, the Ascension Charity Classic, now the Stifel Charity Classic. This classic layout has 36 holes. This summer I hope to play the West course where the Champions event is held; Missouri Golf Association is sponsoring an amateur event there.  I have played the shorter East course three times - it's quirky but quite fun. Also: Circa 2000 I played il Picciolo, a course at the base of Mount Etna in Sicily. The volcano was spewing ash that week. The course frequently hosts European pro events. Lots of elevation change and gently rippling fairways. Left a 7i shot 10 yards short of green on one par 5. Turns out the hole had a 12-foot high alpine flagstick, and I was not as close to the green as I thought I was (bad perspective).
    • Just the Plantation course at Kapalua. Not like I didn't know it, but it was a visceral reminder of how ridiculously good the tour pros are. That course is f***ing *hard* playing it from ~6500 yards. From the tips!? Then if there's wind?!
