Anyone ever worked a pro tournament?

Last year I worked as a standard bearer (the dude that follows a group with the sign of the names and scores). I wasn't going to do it this year, but I had the head dude call me yesterday to ask if I'd like to work this year too. So, what they hay, I'm going to do it again. Luckily the uniforms are the same for this year from the last. Last year I paid $80. But they give a nice shirt, hat, and weather proof jacket.

Last year I only worked Thursday morning. I had Stewart Cink, Dean Wilson, and I forget the last dude. It was pretty fun, except that it was cold and sprinkly rainy.

I got inside the ropes at the practice range, got to see all the big dudes up close. Let alone you get to walk right along side the players.

So check out the website of a tournament near you and sign up as a volunteer!

Awesome idea. If you can find a website for a tournament nearby, of course. I live in Erie, PA - that's some of the PA events, the Memorial is close to me, etc... Hmmm.

What's the site for the tournament at which you volunteered? Sounds awesome.

You know what would be nice? A map showing the locations of PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and LPGA Tour events. Put them as dots on a map. Do those exist?

Living in L.A. you know it's the Nissan Open. Man, nothing like Riveira C.C. So much history around the tournament. Always draws the top players too.

I just noticed, for people interested, that on pgatour's page for the tournament you are looking at. On the left of the page, there is the "feature" section, the last one, at least on the Nissan Open's page, is volunteer info.

You're the big boss man around this place, get on it!

I signed up to work at the Fedex Kinkos Classic (Champions tour) here in April about a month ago. Looking forward to it but haven't received any word back from them.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
