Hey,

I am looking to buy a golf net and mat. They need to be durable and not too pricey.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't know a bout the net, but have you tried your driving range for a used mat? I know the one I go to has several for sale. Not sure of the condition, because I have never looked (I hate mats!) but they do have them.
My Equipment:
Northwestern 3-, 5-, 7- and 9-wood;
Goldwin AVDP Irons (5-10 plus PW);
U.S. Golf 60 degree wedge;
See-More Putter; Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000 Rangefinder;Golflogix GPS.

I'm looking into buying a golf mat, and net for my garage so I can practice throughout the offseason. Tell me if you find anything good. The Vijay Singh golf mat looks good, but I'm not willing to fork up $229 for it just yet.

Sam's clubs sells a muti sport net, that I use in the back yard. It runs about $40. I picked up a decent mat at Dick's last year for about the same price. Its not that big,but I have hit alot of balls off it and it has held up real well. It has short and long grass plus a tee hole.

I have been looking for a good (cheap) one also.

If you have tree(s) in your back yard just go to home depot and buy some netting. In fact, it would probably be cheaper to buy some treated wood and netting and simply build your own.

I purchased a octagon mat off ebay for $225, and I have to say it was well worth the money. This is a LOT of money to spend on a mat, but after seeing it in person(i picked it up), I was sure it was the right one. It has gone through endless storms and water out on the back porch, and still works like new. I would suggest investing the money on whatever you choose, assuming it will be stored outdoors. I had a net for a year also, which broke two days ago. I need to get a new net ASAP. Good luck!

There is a good selection of different sized mats on Ebay. I purchased a 12X20 for $19.50 including s&h.; It is 1.5 inches thick.
