Well ive been playing terrible golf lately. Havent been able to break 80 in a few weeks, one month ago i was shooting regular mid to high 70's. So anyway went out today determined to play well. Started double double. Not the greatest. Then bogey a pretty easy par 4. Then something happened and i went par, eagle, birdie. Best 3 holes of my life then went on and doubled the 7th and then finished bogey, birdie lol. Finished with a 38. Probably the most inconsistant 38 of my life.

A few years ago, while playing to a 12 handicap, I shot an ugly 46 on the front. I was so disgusted I told my buddies I was going to skip the back nine and go home and nap. They convinced me to keep going. I shot a career best 33 on the back for a "smooth" 79.

Yeah I didn't get his math either. Is that 9 a par 34? If it is then you shot 38, but if not, if it is a par 36 then you shot 40 like lookimtigerwoods said.

Maybe he should have mentioned the par on that nine was 34, but nowhere did I see that the guy said it was a Par 36. This is something you assumed on your own. I added up his total too. I concluded that the Par was 34. Have you never played a course where one of the nines was a 34? FYI, all courses are not Par 36 on both nines. Pretty simple really, if you don't always try to make people look like idiots.

No I did mention that if it was a par 34, and I also said IF it was a par 36. And no I haven't had a course with one 9 having a par or 34, and when did I say all courses had a par 36? Plus, maybe he accidentally did wrong math? Try reading my whole post before over-reacting.

not all courses are par 36, but most are, and tht seems like something he would mention

Would have been a lot simpler if you two had just assumed that he added correctly rather than questioning him. No one else did. Now if he comes back and says, sorry I mis-added, I really shot a 39 or 40 then I will be more than happy to apologize to you two wonderful fellows.

Well despite my earlier confrontations, good job on saving the round.

Just today I woke up and my right shoulder was hurting. My mom, being a massage therapist, check it out and a muscle around my rotator cuff was mess up. I had a tee time with a friend and I took some Ibuprophin (sp?) and played anyway. Well during the hole front nine it hurt to swing, and I shot a TERRIBLE 44. I was hooking the hell out of everything and barely kept the ball in play, my putting saved me. Then on the back nine the Ibuprophin kicked in and there was no more pain, and I shot a 37 on the back to finish with an okay round of 81.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
