I stumbled across one of these stupid "most embarassing moments in sport caught on camera" shows browsing through the TV channels and happend to see a scene, which was obviously cut out of the nationwide coverage (I don't think I'd have missed it).
It happend at the Skins game, at the hole where Anika outdrove Fred Funk and he kept playing the hole in a skirt.
On the green Fred had obvious problems squating over the ball to mark it, end up squatting down with his knees wide apart (very un-female like ). Tiger was in similar position on the oposite side of the hole, a few yards back, when this conversation took place:
Fred : "Tiger, what do you think?"
Tiger: "To be honest Fred... it's a ball.. no make it TWO BALLS OUT" with a laud gigle...
At that time both Anika and Fred lost it and rolled on the green bursting in laughter.
I think it was funny. It sucks we got so "P.C." that human moments like that don't make the nationwide coverage. Go Tiger, once golf career is over - stand up act is waiting

Yeah, I remember seeing that clip on ESPN and laughing. It was a good one.

Great spirits will always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I liked Fred's comment to tiger better. I think it was near the end of the round after fred had to put the skirt on. Tiger left a putt short of the hole and Fred said " I still have that skirt in my bag if you need it" Maybe not the exact quote but it was on those lines. I loved it.

Tiger didn't say this, but it's still funny:

Q. There's a lot of interest in south Florida and the reports that you bought in Jupiter Island. Can you tell us about your decision to buy there and what appealed to you about that area? TIGER WOODS: I'm close to the water. You know, I grew up here in Southern Cal not too far away from the beach, and I miss the ocean. Being in Orlando close to water, there's a bunch of lakes, but it's not the ocean. It's something I've always had my entire life, always been close to the ocean. Even when I was up at Stanford, we were only 15, 20 minutes away from the ocean. I just miss being close to it. Translation: Funny story: me and E were taking a Sunday drive and we saw this open house, and I was like, Let's pretend to look around and maybe we can steal some CDs when the owners aren't watching. But it turned out to be an OK place, and I just happened to have $40 million on me, so I bought it. Also, I thought it would be nice to be neighbors with Greg Norman, so he can come over and try on my green jackets when he's feeling down.

That is good stuff. I don't think many people think that Tiger doesn't have a sense of humor, except the people that only see him play and nothing else. On Jay Leno last year when he was pushing his latest video game he was telling a story to Jay about how he would ask Steve a question about a short putt and Steve would just whisper in his ear, "Don't f*** up".

The Thanksgiving Skins game last year was also extra entertaining, due to the relaxed atmosphere and banter between the players.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
