24 here, played from ages 15 - 17 with a set of hand me downs. Pretty much stopped playing until last year when I got myself fitted for a set last year as a christmas gift to myself. Have been on fire for the game ever since. 3 - 5 rounds a week now.

46 here. Played off and on several times since I was 15. This go-round been playing steadily for two years and don't see anything getting in the way this time.

am early 40's and started 11 years ago. wish i had picked this game up sooner. but am not complaining...i don't feel the need to "rip it" off the tee and like to think my way around a course. Mr. Watson showed us how such a strategy can even win majors for oldies. Let's face it, at the 2009 Open, over 4 very tough days, he beat the best players in the world and tied just 1 guy even after spotting him a good 20 years.

given the large numbers of younger players, it looks like TW's entry onto the scene has sparked a lot of interest in the game, and that's just fabulous for the game.

Took a lot of practice. I practice for about three hours every day from March-October and play a round every weekday because I can play unlimited golf for $100 if I tryout for the golf team. My hands have become immune to blisters.

Very nice. I've been playing golf since about the age of 14, but have only started getting serious about it over the past few months. The game is a lot more enjoyable when you can see and feel improvements isnt it? :)

    • For me it would be opt 1 , even though it’s a watching it slip away scene.  I believe it was Brando who lamented at the end of Streetcar Named Desire that he could’ve been a contender….would I be like @ChetlovesMer’s friend?  I hope not, but to know that for a moment I was giving the  win a run for the money would be a great memory…

    • On my calendar thx @Hardspoon for putting this together
    • After a bit of a lean spell managed to birdie stroke hole one, long par five. Ball striking best it’s been for a while short game exactly the opposite. Had so many opportunities to post good scores last three or four games, failed miserably😀
    • Would You Rather #69 For this question let's assume you are playing whatever tournament is important to you.  Would you rather finish second in your tournament but be remembered for a huge mistake you make right at the end.  or  Would you rather play solidly in your tournament, but you still finish outside the top 25, and are never really in contention.  Incidentally, this happed to a friend of mine many years ago at the tournament I play every year. He was leading the tournament coming into the last hole, where he took two to get out of a greenside bunker and then three-putted his way to second place. He hasn't really been in contention again since.
