I have recently realized that my driver grip, and putter grip are both starting to show good amounts of wear. The tackiness of my driver's Winn XI7 is completely gone. I never really liked this grip anyways, and now that it has been played for awhile I think it's time for a new grip to bring my feel and confidence back to my driver. I also see that my putter's grip(stock odyssey grip) has also lost most if its feel and is ready to be replaced. I planned on buying one of the Studio Select Scotty's, but I won't be able to afford one until I get a job or the next big holiday. For now my Odyssey will be just fine. I have heard good things about IoMic grips, but they are very expensive IMO. Any recommendations for my driver and putter grips would be greatly appreciated, because my local store only has about 5 grips to choose from.

I'm a fan of the Winn Dsi myself. It's extremely comfortable and pretty cheap.

If you're looking for more of a cord grip (not as comfortable, but literally a better grip), the Golf Pride New Decades are pretty nice.

It really depends on preference. Some people prefer a softer grip, some prefer a grip that offers better control. If you want both, the Winn PCi is a hybrid, and it's pretty nice.

I recently put a winn jumbo on my putter and am really liking it;

After reading reviews, I *just* regripped my driver and 3w with the Golf Pride Decade. It feels good on the shafts, but I haven't played a round with them yet.

You can buy both online and have your shop install them for you.

Good luck!

Golf Pride New Decades are the ones I'm considering next, also.

I've seen some really great feeling Golf Pride putter grips that set up identical to the Cameron BabyT grips.

I tried the Winn oversize on my last putter and it really help take my wrists out of it.

Golf Pride New Decades Multicompound are sweet! I love the look of them too.

The Golf Pride Dual Durometer putting grip is somewhat similar to the BabyT grip. I just got it on my YES! putter. I love it.

Thanks for all the replys. I'm going to Edwin Watt's tomorrow to check my shafts on the launch monitor to see if I need stiff shafts. I'll also check out the grips and get a new driver and putter grip. Thanks a lot, hoping for more replys.

Get the new decades, I just put one on my driver, and for your putter... if you can get your hands on an Iomic, then go for it. I have one on my yes! and man let me tell you it is a gem. Never felt anything like it before. They are from Japan though so harder to get, try to get a midsize if you can because the midsize is similar to the american regular size. The small is very small.

Strongly recommend this one for putters (they come in several different colors):

As for club grips, I play Avon Chamois or Avon Jumbo Chamois on most of my clubs. A very simple grip and one not a lot of people know about, but when they're new they have great feel, tackiness and a classic look. Easy to install and cheap, too (about $2.60 from Golfsmith):

Is there any grip that is similar to the IoMic grips? I would prefer to try out the grip before I pay over $18 for it, or at least one similar to know if it would be the correct grip for me.

My favorite grip in my bag is on my bobby jones hybrids. Cant recall what it is but it is a winn grip and I would LOVE to get all my clubs regripped to it... butt that would mean not having the sticks with me for a few days and for some reason I just cant do it.

My driver is gripped with Iomic grip. I say go for it if you're willing to spend $18. You'll love it as I love mine. They're sticky like glue when you hold it. Quality grip but pricey. One $18 grip in driver won't do too much damage.

Similar to Iomic is NO1 (Nowon) grips, but they're harder to come by.

Well I decided to get a Winn Midsize Pistol Grip on my putter, and I am loving it based upon my putts on the mat at my house. As for my driver grip, I am going to either get a new shaft and get the hybrid Winn grip, or if I choose to get the TM Burner I'll just use the stock grip. Thanks a ton for the replys!

I switched from Winn to Lamkin Torsion Control (Blue) last year. The lamkin is extremely tacky and stays that way. Unfortunately they wear a lot quicker than a conventional grip because the material is much softer. I didn't like the Winn grips because they soaked up water too easy. Fine when dry but terrible for me when wet. If the grips got wet they would be slippery for days. The lamkin are a rubber material that doesn't soak up water.

Try the Lamkin. I believe they are offering a free grip on their website. THis will save you the cost of the grip itself and you'll only have to pay for the install.

I used to have New Decade Multi Compounds and they were good to start. It seems like they got slick really quickly on me.

I just swapped to Golf Pride DD2's in Red/Black and I have to say that I love them. Soft feel, but with a firmness on the core.
