A little spin on the other Ryder Cup threads.

I find myself in a bind. As an American a truly want the US team to take home a win this year, but, I am a huge fan of every Euro player, and I can't say that about the US players. Anyone else in the same boat?

I am only cheering for 2 Americans - Anthony Kim, and Phil, not nesicarily cheering for the team, just for those 2, but team wise, go Europe!

A little spin on the other Ryder Cup threads.

Slightly. Anthony Kim is my favorite player, so it isn't that tough to root for the Americans. On the other hand, the player I'm told I look like the most is on the European team.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I find myself rooting for the Americans although my favorite player is on the European squad. With the economic struggles and NYC feeling like a funeral, a little bit of patriotism is good for the soul.

That said, get your head outta your butt, Sergio and start hitting some crisp irons.

Sergio is my favorite player; other than that, I hate every other European team player.

I've got to admit I've had a negative opinion of Hunter especially with his remarks about the Cup; however, he has definitely come to play and has contributed as a rookie. I've been pleasantly surprised with Boo and his Boo birds and J.B. For first timers, I'm OK. We'll see tomorrow when it falls on the shoulders of the individual.

There were some crack'in matches today. I found myself cheering for all the players. Each has had their ups and downs but certainly all the golf has been fun to watch. I'm a little disappointed with Perry and Curtis. They have had some excellent chances and have come up short. That said, so have some of my favorite players. It's certainly not over and now Zinger and Faldo have their work cut out for them tomorrow. Who do you match up? Like Garcia said... It's better sleep with the lead; but, the incentive and the "pump" that you get to come from behind to win is better. we'll see. Ole, ole, ole... USA, USA, USA... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... tomorrow we'll know!

    • Yeah I was equally surprised at both how much it had reverted but then how quickly it came back.  I know it's not fully "fixed", but I now know how much I need to stay on top of it to keep it from reverting back that badly again.
    • Shot a lousy 53 on 9 holes. Took 4 drops on the 1st 4 holes.  Two drops on a single hole! 🤬 Did get my game back for the last 4 holes of it could have been worse. one highlight was #8 Par-3 playing @ 190 to the center with a back pin. I chose to play my 5 which I consider my 190 club and I crushed it 205 and was on the top tier pin high.  2 putt for par and won closest to pin on that hole. i could be wrong but I feel like I am taking my eye off the ball prior to contact and that is hurting me.
    • Day 579, June 4, 2024 Practiced on the Quad for a bit. Adding a little of the "push hard with the left side" stuff to help the lie angle at impact numbers. Doing this in early 2020 strained something in my left side, I was doing it so aggressively, so it's not new.
    • It was like 80% reverted, huh? 🙂 (But yeah, it's easier to get it back than to do it the first time, fer sure.)
    • Go figure. Within 2 filmed swings I was able to get back on track with my full swing priority piece and the ball-striking immediately improved.  More mirror reps, more static holds as part of my pre-shot routine, no excuses for me to revert now.    Got some solid short game practice in too, focused on shorter backswing and letting the clubhead fall into the ball. Ball popped up high and soft out of the rough when I did it right. Also practiced bumping my 54 into an upslope and letting it release onto the green, just learning how to hit various trajectories to the same flag. Going to keep making incremental improvements with the short game and building brick by brick.
