This course(my home course) is located in Perth, Western Australia about 15 minutes from the CBD. It is widely regarded as Perth's premier golf club and has hosted the 2002/2003 Johnnie Walker classic as well as numerous Australian Opens. LKCC is known for its challenging layout and it's abundance of wildlife and numerous kangaroos. The lush undulating couch fairways and manicured Bent grass greens are set around a large natural lake and amongst a forest of magnificent native trees and plants.

As well as having this magnificent championship course, there is also a tricky short 9 hole course, which is a great warm up course and is good for practicing your short game. Not only is it a good practice course, but it has an official Australian Course Rating, so if you have a good round it can be used for your handicap.

This is our 'signature' hole. As you can see it s a tricky hole which needs a good tee shot or the bunkers are in play, making a tough up and down.

Beautiful!

Would you comment on what Mens and Associates tees are and how the scorecards differ (if they do). The associates short course card seems to have and extra triangle and different numbers even though the yardages look to be the same.

The "Associates" are females. And "Mens" is well, males. And regards to the differing short course scorecards, I'm not really sure what the difference is, but there are holes with red tees which the ladies hit off.

    • Day 242 4-19 correct hip/chest movement in backswing. Less hip turn more chest turn. Did a bit of wrist arch stuff as well.
    • Day 42 (19 Apr 26) - Spent a bit of time working on maxing torso rotation…hit a few pitches to help reinforce.
    • Thanks - that was a total surprise…

    • First round at Quail Ridge: 47 + 47 = 94 *Note: It was 25+ mph winds with gust in the 35+ mph. It was also around 58 degrees. I felt like I was out in Oregon. The greens were very firm.  Driver was decent. It didn't cause me an issues.  Irons were the biggest issue. Just low point control was lacking. Mostly on the chunky side. Also, my irons were routinely 20-30 yards shorter than normal. Even on holes with a cross wind, the ball was just dying. We played an extra 9 holes after the first 18, and the wind died down by then. I stepped into a 9 iron, and it came up 15 yards short. I have no clue what is going on. I should not be hitting 9 irons 140 yards when I am hitting my driver 300 to 310 yards.  Warmup didn't give me much confidence. I just kept shanking every other iron shot. I didn't shank an iron during the round. I just felt all out of sorts today. Coordinate felt off.  yea, I have no idea if I am purposely slowing down my swing to feel my downswing piece. Again, I hit a decent 9 iron and lost 15 yards of carry. I hope this is just an off day.
