I was watching Len Mattice have problems at the Honda yesterday. The greens were so hard and crusty and the winds were howling that Len pitched the ball up on this turtle back green and came back down to his feet twice. He then pitched it to the middle and it released off of the other side. I think he took a snowman.

Now I won't feel as bad when I do it.

That's the spirit!

That's the same way I felt after watching some of the Canadian Tour's event at Barton Creek this last week. Those guys make the same little whoopsy mistakes as me. It was actually quite a good learning experience to see, 'cause those little mistakes are what seperates those guys with the Nationwide and PGA players. I'm not too far away...

There's a young guy at my club, he's in his early twenties, and has trained with Leadbetter. He's a +2, do you think he can compete on the Nationwide Tour? I have no idea what it takes to compete there.

Jeff, I don't think any of that tells you anything. Dave is a +2 and, no offense to Dave, he's as far away from being even an average Nationwide Tour player as I am from being, well, Dave. He's got a LONG way to go.

Plus remember, +2 is only your best 10 of your last 20. If his average were a +2 (-2 in relation to par on an average difficulty track), he might be able to play in a few events, but even then I don't think he'd even be average.
