Happy birthday!

Thanks. From

a post on my blog : I turn 28 today (technically at 9:34pm or something, I think), and true to adult form it really doesn't mean a whole lot to me. It's also my father-in-law's birthday (Carey took the "marry someone like your dad" thing a bit too far), so happy birthday to him. That aside, I wish to celebrate life today. As my friends know, another friend of mine has recently received a much-needed new heart and is doing well. For several years, José was basically a few hours from death, but thanks to the forethought of some unknown person, José's wife and two children will likely get to see my favorite Puerto Rican grow old and grey. I've been an organ donor for years - since I got my first driver's license, I suppose - and though I naturally hope that my organs won't be donated any time soon, I am comforted in knowing that the joy I've felt with José's recent transplant may some day be given to someone else should I kick the can. Today, on the anniversary of the day I began my life, I'm encouraging you to look into organ donation. If you're not an organ donor already, sign up. If you are, encourage someone else to. Organ donation may not be tax-deductible, but like taxes, death is one of life's certainties. Plan for the future… someone else's after you are gone.

You made it! Another birthday in the history books!

Congrats Erik...I hope you have a special day. I know you couldn't play golf today because it was too cold, but thinking warm might help Hope you get lots of cool gifts.

If you contribute your organs to someone who doesn't play golf, will that person then become a "natural" at it?

Sincerely,
Stacy Solomon

Happy belated birthday eric. Hope you had a great day. Now if this weather would straighten out a bit we'll be all set.

I've been an organ donor ever since I got my license. I always figured if I were to pass away I certainly won't be needing them so hopefully someone could benefit from my departure. Giving blood is a great way to help out as well.

    • Day 234: Quick range session. Working on lower body stuff in the backswing. Looking slightly better, but going to need more work. I do think I lost a bit of my previous wrist stuff in the backswing while practicing, so something to keep an eye on.
    • First option, easily. ± 15 yards with an 8I is unacceptably poor. Every iron would basically overlap two other irons plus a little into the other one (max of one, min of the one two irons away).
    • I'd still take the first option. Knowing exactly how far your ball is going to carry every single time is huge.  Plus an average dispersion of 30yds isn't that big, that's still going to result in the overwhelming majority of your shots on the green.
    • Well, I kind of suck.  I meant it as 15 yards to the left or 15 yards to the right. ... Which would actually be a 30 yard dispersion. But I'm an idiot... so there's that.
    • The first choice, absolutely no doubt IMO.  A 15yd dispersion is PGA Tour level with a 7 iron. you mean to tell me I'm going to hit my number within 1-2 yds AND be like 8yds left or right at the most? Yeah I'm taking that every single time. There'd be almost no excuse to miss a green honestly.   A distance control of +- 10% is 40yds from 200yds out. That's not good.
