Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to you as well. This is such a great season. To look back at 2008 and then forward to 2009 are great activities. In spite of a few personal setbacks, 2008 was OK, and coming on this golf forum was a good move. I have found it interesting, informative, and worth reading (unlike two other golf forums that I used to post on).

In terms of golf, my year was a "mixed bag". I injured my right bicep in the middle of June and lost 6 weeks of playing during "prime time". Let me tell you---I really missed "the greatest game of all" and could not wait until I could resume playing. From that point forward, I did play well after practicing for two weeks to "get back in the groove". Consequently, I am really looking forward to 2009. I can just imagine how Tiger must be "champing at the bit", given my experience. My family is doing well, and our 4 year old granddaughter is a joy to be with. As I have written before, Ryleigh is "growing up with golf", like her Mom and Uncle John did. Her stocking has golf balls, and Santa brought her a golf cap with Mickey Mouse on it that says "Future Golf Pro". One the greatest appeals of golf is that you can start so young, and play until you die. It is also a great family activity, and it is great that helps bind our family together with shared experiences. May you and your family have a great 2009!! On the golf course and off it.

Ditto. Opening presents. I got socks, underwear, scrubs (what I asked for and needed).
One of the fundamental truths in life is that you can never have enough socks and underwear.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Nice post, especially health, family, and a good sense of humor. Anyone with all of those has all the "wealth" he or she could ask for. Merry Christmas.
