I have heard people with rattles in drivers but never heard anything about irons. I have a rattle in my Titleist DCI 962B 7 iron that has been getting worse over the past 6 months and when I hit it, it stings pretty bad. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?

Only rattle I have ever heard of in irons is rust.

It could be a weight that had been added to the club at some point (possibly in handle) to create a particular swing weight. Rust is a possibility, that that's not something that would normally cause a 'rattle' sound. Best bet is to take it to a professional and let them see what it is. I've never had that happen or heard of it - although, now I guess I have.

I have something that rolls up and down the shaft of my 9 iron when i swing.. rolls up to grip on backswing and down to head on downswing? What could be causing this? Not trying to steal a post but i thought since it was similar i could just ask.

That is more than likely epoxy from the shaft since you can hear it go up and down, you can do what I did today and take it to your local golf shop and they will be able to tell you for sure. I went today and the guy could twist the butt of my shaft where my extension came loose.
