The Golf Channel---tournament "coverage"

Here are my questions about The Golf Channel's tournament coverage:

1. How have the ratings been for these last 2 events?

2. If the ratings have not been good, how will the advertisers react? Will they reduce their advertising or demand discounts in price, or maybe both?

3. Does The Golf Channel really care what we think, unless it impacts advertising revenue, as outlined in the first two questions?

TGC coverage is killing my love for PGA golf coverage on the weekends.

Tilghman is an embarrassment. The constant driving music, interviews, recaps, meaningless statistics, updates, etc. combined with her irritating voice and dumb-azz comments stink. SubPar

I LOVE faldo as a commentator! He gives a good perspective and calls thing like they are. NO bs.

My husband and I have never before been so frustrated watching golf, excuse me, make that commercials. The Golf Channel's coverage of the Bob Hope Classic was nothing short of disgusting. With the exception of the last 1/2 hour or so, we watched 90% commercial breaks and 10% golf shots. The Golf Channel is going to have to dramatically improve coverage or it will lose the viewers. If the tournament coverage next weekend is as bad as this one was, we will no longer be tuning in."

All the other comments are negative. The ratings have to be terrible.

A DVR is fantastic! I can skim right past all the color commentary, interviews, FedEx Cup hype, advertising, Kelly Tilghman, Jimmy Roberts and players tied for 20th, and get to the bits I want to see.

The best is the way TiVo accurately estimates reaction time, so when you hit play while in FF mode it knows how far back to jump to land right where you wanted to be. SubPar
