...and if so, what was the result?

I had a 12:51 tee time on Sunday, and didn't step off the 9th green until 3:58. I had to drive off the course after 13 holes due to darkness. There were NO empty holes, nor were there slow players. No gaps at all. The clubhouse started sticking people in-between tee times.

This is normally a very well-run course but they blew it yesterday. The marshal admitted the clubhouse screwed up and that he couldn't speed anyone up as they were all playing as fast as possible.

I emailed the clubhouse today and registered my complaint. I didn't ask for anything, but am curious as to what they might do. What do you think is appropriate? For me, I'd do a "2 for 1" or something like that, for the next round, along with an apology.

Had a simular thing happen last summer with the course being so packed we(4 ball) walked in after 14 holes and almost five hours! We were given vouchers for 2 free rounds each,and the caddymaster brought us a beer!

Ha-that is nothing, I play at courses in NYC, 6 hour round a minimum on the weekends. I've played for 6.5 hours with 3 holes to go, and they could care less.

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
