So I´m currently working on S&T;, but I´m hitting everyhing fat. I think my backswing is alright, but on the downswing I still have early extension (something I´ve always had) and I think my arms are disconnecting from my body after impact so that the club gets away from me instead of moving around on a circular arc. Any help?

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

Sorry I can't go on longer here (busy with Analyzr, wheee!), but you've got almost no forward dimension. You need a fair amount more. Your hips barely push forward on their circle at all. You just stand up.

Ok, a little update on my S&T; swing. Hitting it alot better. My miss is a push though. I wanna know what I should work on to improve. I also have a question. When the backswing is short of parallel should the club be pointing at the target or left of it like Haney or Hardy want to see it?

Thanks in advance.

I´m hitting a 4 iron in these clips:

Left of it is fine, yes. Short of parallel the plane would look like that. But it's a really fine-grained piece, and there are some students who manipulate their wrist conditions in such a way that they make better downswings pointing the club across the line despite being short of parallel, for example.

What to work on?

Handle forward at address. Ball back a little (it's fairly far forward).

Hips pushed a little more forward and not spinning so fast. Push the hips forward with no turn (it'll feel that way to you - push them forward to first base) and let your head stay back.

Then extend the arms and keep the handle raising through impact without rolling the hands over (this can send the path slightly left).

Thanks for helping me.

I´ll work on the changes and post an update tomorrow.

Ok, so here is the update. Is this better now?

Well, occasional pushes and hooks with the driver. Contact was very solid though with the irons. Anything else you see wrong?

You have a pretty balanced swing. But on your back swing, you look as if you want to crush the ball as far as you possibly can. Try and have your driver head above your hands on the back swing. I had the same back swing and a guy I was paired up with recommended this little tip. I would have to work at it, but know I am hitting straighter than i ever have, and a little farther. It worked for me hopefully for you too.

You've removed all the videos but Erik had some analyzr pics still up. Here's the post from that thread:

You look different. I'm confused. Sorry if there's some sort of logical explanation for this. I'm not trying to call you out, I just remember your old swing threads, which is why I can't figure this out.

    • A 5400 yd course is not that short for gents driving it 160 yards considering the approach shot lengths they are going to be faced with on Par 4s.  Also, for the course you are referring to I estimate the Par 4s have to average longer than 260 yds, because the Par 5s are 800 yds or so, and if there are four Par 3s averaging 130 the total is 1320 yds.  This leaves 4080 yds remaining for 12 Par 4s.  That is an average of 340 per hole. Anyway, if there are super seniors driving it only 160ish and breaking 80 consistently, they must be elite/exceptional in other aspects of their games.  I play a lot of golf with 65-75 yr old seniors on a 5400 yd course.  They all drive it 180-200 or so, but many are slicers and poor iron players.  None can break 80. I am 66 and drive it 200 yds.  My average score is 76.  On that course my average approach shot on Par 4s is 125 yds.  The ten Par 4s average 313 yds.  By that comparison the 160 yd driver of the ball would have 165 left when attempting GIR on those holes.
    • I don't think you can snag lpga.golf without the actual LPGA having a reasonable claim to it. You can find a ton of articles of things like this, but basically: 5 Domain Name Battles of the Early Web At the dawn of the world wide web, early adopters were scooping up domain names like crazy. Which led to quite a few battles over everything from MTV.com You could buy it, though, and hope the LPGA will give you a thousand bucks for it, or tickets to an event, or something like that. It'd certainly be cheaper than suing you to get it back, even though they'd likely win. As for whether women and golfers can learn that ".golf" is a valid domain, I think that's up to you knowing your audience. My daughter has natalie.golf and I have erik.golf.
