About riffle shafts

Hello to all,

i am planning to get a set of irons, Cleveland red exactly, and i have the chance to choose (for some extra money) riffle shafts.

The thing is, Will i notice the difference between these shafts and the traditional ones?

Hello to all,

Depends on what you are after.

Dynamic Gold shafts will spin more and peak higher than rifle shafts. Rifle shafts spin less and have a more piercing ball flight. Its up to you as to what you want. A smooth swinger will typically be happy with dynamic golds because they won't get quite as much back spin. I'm a bit more of a power hitter so dynamic golds spin like crazy for me so I use rifles.

Great advice....so seldom taken but great advice.

Many of the shops will let you check out their demo sets and go get some course time with them first. I've had DG before and enjoyed the higher traj, but found I scored much better overall with my Rifle shafts. Accuracy in wind is a huge difference.....HUGE. My next set will be shafted with Rifle shafts again. Several years running and love 'em. Good luck.
