Taylor Made 09 Burner irons

Just demoed them. Very nice. Was thinking about the Taylor Made Burner XDs or Burner Plus irons. They explode off of the face and are long, however, they have way too much offset. They were causing all sorts of issues when I would try and hit my 3 woods after hitting one of those.

Anyone else demo these yet?

I hit a few balls with them yesterday. They were ok but as you said, they have way too much offset. The ball does fly off the face nicely but not as nice as the Nike VR cavity backs I hit straight after them. I got an average of 6 yards more carry with the VR.

How oversized are the heads? The burner series hybrids and fairways are larger than like. I'm pretty much assuming the same is true of the irons. If nothing else TM should win an award for the most ridiculous press release.

The PR for the Burner 09s actually contains this gem:
