Has anybody tried the "real golf" game?
How is it?
I've got a big screen HDTV. Thinking about getting it
The equipment is there...I'm not!

Do you mean "Real World Golf" on the X-Box? Or is this something else?

I've played Links and Tiger Woods on game consoles and in my opinion both of them blow chunks, although TW isn't bad on the PC.

I haven't tried the "Real World Golf" game, though, as my interest in console gaming lasted about 6 months...

It's not TW golf. From what I understand you actually have a little club in your hand...somehow it's connected to a XBOX, PS or PC console. I am not sure if you need a special console or not but it can be in through either of them. (PS, XBOX, PC) I guess distance and performance are based on swing speed etc.
You swing, do the chip and putt thing with this little club. There are supposed to be I think 10 golf courses that come with the game.
When I have more time on my hands (5 more weeks until graduation... yea!!)
I'll really check it out. I am sure they have some kind of demo in some game stores

I've played the real simulators before. Way back in 98 and 99 I worked in a golf shop that had the Links LS simulator. It was pretty accurate then, I just recently played one that was VERY accurate.

I'd like to try that PS2 / XBox one .. for the price, it should be quite good.

The real world simulators are very expensive, $10K + easy.

i am thinking about getting the ps2 game as well. if it's as good as people say, that means you could play a round any time, anywhere, which would be awesome. save me a ton a money.

      I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers

      Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.

      So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon

      It is a known technique, similar to the armed forces box technique. They use a 4x4 , in through the nose and out through the mouth. I use it to go to sleep fairly often. It works for me
