Played with the r7 Steel 3-wood today. Put the weight in the toe (2-14 configuration) to get it to neutral. The face was perhaps a tiny bit closed, or maybe not... tough to say. I didn't look at it much first.

While my current 3W (Titleist 904F, Speeder S shaft) hits the ball pretty well, the r7 steel ballooned the ball a bit more than I'd like. It didn't bore through the wind and I had to work a little harder to get the ball off the fairway. Don't take my word for it just yet, as I only hit four shots or so with the club, but that's what I feel right now.

The swing weight felt good, the shaft felt good, the club was attractive at address. So no complaints there. The sound was a bit more like titanium than I was expecting. The distance was good.

I'll be more thorough later.

Besides my erc from callaway, the sonartec have the best technology in them, I hit them like 14 yards farther then the titleist on average and the r7 tp wood is so much better then the r7 steel. It's lighter and the shaft is better. My erc is still the best of them all, low ball flight and it spins like a muther. Also distance and consistency is amazing!!!!!
