24 of us are headed there next month for our annual golf extravaganza.

Although we've been to Myrtle Beach many times this will be our first trip to this facility.

We will be playing... The Heritage Club, Legends Parkland, Legends Heathland, Oyster Bay , and Legends Moorland.

Any thoughts on any of these tracks, or for that matter the Legends resort itself?

They're all really nice courses. Your in for some nice golf courses.

I really enjoyed playing Heritage in the spring 2 years ago. The ride in and the azalea's will remind you of Augusta.

The accomondations at the Legends Resort are nice. Kind of like a English Village setting. Legends has probably the nicest practice facility on Myrtle Beach.

Enjoy your trip. I go every year, 24 is a good number for a Myrtle trip...

The back nine at Heritage might be the toughest 9 holes in Myrtle.Great low country course and they redid the greens last year so they should be pristine when you play it.Legends has 3 courses 2 of which are linksy and the parkland is a northern type forest course.Heathland and Moorland are allways rated 2 of the tougher corses on the strand.Oyster bay ia allways ranked high but I do not care for it personally as I think it is overpriced. The range at legends is the best in myrtle and even is lit at night.Never stayed there but have allways heard good things about it.Watch out for gators at heritage and rattle snakes at legends.

Thanks for the responses. Winter came back here with a vengeance, I can't wait for this years Myrtle adventure!

Also included in this outing is an 18 hole mini golf cut throat stymie in effect skins game . You have to use the course supplied rubber putters. What fun! I won $26 at last years event. It's funny watching aces get skunked!

We schedule this trip for early March, usually when we return there is golfing light at the end of the tunnel.

I've played all of them. There is not a bad course among them. If I would make one change, I would drop Parkland and substitute TPC which is also operated by the Legends group. Oyster Bay and Heritage are probably the two best on the list. My goup is also staing at Legends in March. Enjoy the trip. It will be fun.

We get there next Friday (March 6). I can't freaking wait! We are driving to Winston-Salem (about 6-7 hours) playing 18, then continuing on! What a way to break up a road trip! Then, I fly home on the 11th. When is your crew going?

Hi Flap - This wil be my first time at Founders. I know about the waste bunkers/cart paths. The guys on MBGT have given the course consistently good reviews although not raves. From what I understand it is sort of "True Blue-lite". I'm not expecting it to be as good as True Blue, but do expect it to be pretty good. I've played courses with lots of waste bunkers so I should be okay. I hope I can kep it straight off the te and avoid the things. I'll post a report and pix when I get back

Weather dot com sez: GREAT GOLF WEATHER! We played Kings North last year, here's a tip, the water on the signature hole #6 goes behind the green too! I had a great drive to the island, then smoked my 11 wood and went in the lake behind the green! Dropped and got up and down for the par! Won $0 and lost a $3 ball! Good story though! Another tip: After Pawleys, stop at "the Pit" Pawleys Island Tavern. Little off the beaten path local pub with Great pizza and beer, great prices too! You'll have to ask a local exactly where it is, it's on the main road, but sits about 100 yard back. Wait, here's their website: http://www.pawleysislandtavern.com/index.html We make it a point to stop there annually. You won't regret it.

Great site. Thanks!

Does anyone know how far it is from the Legends complex to MB airport? Is there a shuttle or will I have to catch a ride?

I know I could google it but there's nothing like first hand thoughts/ideas.

It's less than 20 minutes from Legends to MYR. I have 2 guys from my group leaving early on March 11. You can try to hook up with them. Send me an e-mail with contact info and I'll send you details

Flew home last night from Myrtle beach.

What a fantastic trip. The weather was sunny and 70's-80's the entire time. The weather there was crappy the week before we arrived, and is forecasted to be crappy again starting today.

Loved the Legends, played 7 1/2 rounds in 6 days. We ate too good and got sunburned. Got skunked on the money on day 1, but kicked ass and took names during the other rounds. I led the money list this year!

Found my swing just in time for the season to start around here. I was smoking by friends Cobra driver, gotta get me one....

I'm back at work now and the phone is ringing off the hook.

Damn....
