do tour pro's even have time to lurk on an internet forum?
i know on myspace/facebook... most real celebs have 'ppl' working for them managing their profiles and the ones that actually use their accts have very few 'friends' and are prvt... just as a means of keeping in touch with 'real life' ppl...
it would be really cool if a tour pro checked in once in a while... or if someone on the forum isnt a pro yet... but becomes a pro...

as for the OP... i have no clue who the best is on the forum... we need a sandtrap tourney with rankings... hahaha... j/k

like actual PGA tour pros that i watch on TV? or someone who plays on the hooters tour?

I believe "onthehunt" was a +5.1 or +5.3. I remember that because he started every post with what his handicap was. But if I was a +5 I'd have it tatooed on my forehead!

I suspected that might be true, for this reason: many golf pros are "golf nuts"---they like to watch golf, read about it, and talk about it. Some of them may want to see if their name is mentioned and what is written about them.

I have a question for you: how would they know about this forum? I found out about it from a fellow poster on The Golf Channel Discussion Board who told me this one is much better than TGC. He was right, and I thanked him for letting me know about it. I do not use Google search that often, so I do not know if I put in the words "golf forum" if this website would come up.

We are ALL driving range pros, AND legends in our own minds.

It's what gets me thru the day sometimes...

It would be cool to have the ear of a touring pro on this forum...

maybe we already do..... who knows?

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
