This year I'm looking for a better driver for my game. I want to get fit for a club with the right loft and shaft specs, but I am caught between a few models. Anyone have advice on these drivers?

I tried all of them this year at different demo day's and this is what I thought listed in order from best to worst. Cobra S91 PRO S Titleist 909D3 Mizuno MP600 Taylormade R9 Cobra S91F Taylormade R7 Limited Nike Dymo Adams Tech a4 These we're the ones that I liked the most.

Mizuno mp 630 9.5 Mitsubishi Fubuki stiff
Taylormade R7 RE*AX 55g Stiff
Taylomade Rescue mid 19* Light metals 95g
Mizuno MX25 4 -52*Gap True Temper Dynalite S/L
Mizuno MP-T 56* / 60*Odyssey White Hot Tour # 1

I finnally got to take my FT-9 tour to the range yesterday.Better sound and feel than my FT-3 and lower ball flight.Fairly easy to work both ways and sets up square to slightly open which I like.Being an old fart I have it in Reg.so uaually when I jump on a driver it tends to be a strong draw to a hook but this is different. No matter how hard I swung no real snappers which brought a smile to my oldwrinkled brow. All in all for a range session I like the club. Now if I can get the 16 inches or so of snow melted maybe I can take it to some grass.

In my new FT carry bag

FT-15 degree 3 wood

Went back to miles of golf today, and am sold on the Cobra S91 proS,the r9 was just weak the D3 and MP 600 we're right there but the S91 pro S just out performed the launch was mid the flight was the most penatrateing ball flight I ever had and the ball just seems to carry forever and then roll out, to me this is definatley the best driver on the market! plus with it being 1.5* open I can turn it over without to much worry of over cooking it O.B.

I liked the Titleist 909D2 the best and have hit all that are on your list. I got it with 9.5 with a custom Fujikura Rombax 6F09 (model from asian tour) stiff shaft

adams insight a4 was amazingfor me. Low spin and great ball flight. I will be getting one soon

Just ordered the new Callaway Diablo on Ebay.

Hit it at Golfsmith twice over the weekend. Also tried the Cobra S9-1, which is what I was leaning towards at first. The Ping G10 and the Burner.

I am very inconsistent, and still suck for the most part, but for some reason, I just hit the Diablo cleaner and further.
In the Bag:

Driver: Diablo Driver
Hybrids: Baffler Pro 16* -- Baffler DWS 20*
Irons: R7 Irons 4-PW, GWWedges: Oversize Burner SWPutter: Rossa Suzuka cgb

well, i was using a Callaway FT-i for the past 2 years, but today i picked up a new Mizuno MX-700 driver. I tested a Nike Dymo, a TaylorMade R9, a TaylorMade Burner, a Bridgestone J33 (great driver btw), and the Mizuno MX700. i hit about a dozen balls with each and took the MX-700 home. I went straight to the course, played 18 holes and hit EVERY fairway this morning. plus its about 10 yards longer than my old FT-i. i couldnt be happier with it

ummmmmmmm.........

the Cobra L5V..........

and I win!!!!!!!!!

another vote for ft -9 is i wasn't poor i would have a 9.5 ft-9 tour with a fubuki imix shaft in stiff but the old wilson isn't ready to die yet and i don't have money

well guys I finally made my choice. I called the top fitting facility in MN, and I setup a time to finish my complete bag fitting. I already had the irons fitted with news shafts, and my new putter is on the way. It took me a while to finish the process because it is vey expensive to pay for the whole process all at once. So around 11 o'clock I walked and the fitting began. I hit the Cobra S9-1 and felt really solid, then I picked up the PING G10 and flew it past teh cobra by about 10 yards. I then tried my driver on the monitor, and the guy brought out a R9 for me to test out. It felt like solid contact and better than the first two, but my spin rate was still a little out of whack. Next came the Speedline from Adams and I LOVED it! The carry on the was consistently around 250-260, and my ball speed hovered around 150 mph. I love the traditional look at address, and the feeling at impact was something I have never felt with my Cobra with the wrong shaft (look at I love Cobra drivers but...). My specs for the club were 45'' PROlaunch S-flex with Golf Pride Cord grip. I really am pleased with my decision because on every tee when I look at this club I will have the confidence that it is made for my swing and is the best driver for me. The only bad part is that I have to wait two weeks to get the club with all my desired specs, but that isn't the end of the world.
