Went to dicks sporting goods today Ive never had woods or hybrids before everytime ive ever tried one ive screwed up big time, but they had a sale buy 1 get 2 free

so i got a 3 wood, 5 wood and a 4 hybrid all for 159 bucks

decided to hit it, they actually felt awesome and i was hitting them pretty good it felt he said with the 3 wood my swing speed was 106 and it went 230 yards

im hoping to go out tomorrow and play hopefully these new clubs help me out =]

anyone else have any of these clubs?

mixed opinions, but if you like them, and you hit them well thats all that matters right?

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

I agree. Your ball has no idea what brand name is on the club delivering the blow. If they work for you, tell anyone who gives you grief to stand back while you knock it by them with your "cheap" woods.

I just sold a whole set of Walter Hagens. I was told by Dick's they are actually made by Adams Golf. They felt really great, but I had my heart set on a set of Ben Hogan irons I found online.

      Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.

      I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
