Using the compressor method, you can practice with the same club and grip many times. "wax on, wax off"

Be careful though, if you're removing an old non-pliable grip, it will crack or "explode". Once split of course, a grip is useless.

If it will make you feel better, you can change the tape out when you regrip with this method. If you are using the proper sized grips for your shafts, AND the old tape is intact, there is really no need to re-tape. The tape is just used to slightly modify the grip diameter.

Take your time and practice first. When you get good at it, you can use the same grips on two different sets of clubs j/k . But you could!

Thank you so much everyone. I have regripped my clubs again ;) just love this method. Anway, since I used soap, instead of mineral spirit, I feel I had to re-do it. I have double size tape on this time. And again, everything went well. I did it all by myself this time, because I ahve bought a Vice already... so easy !!!!!

Oh if someone want to do it this way, please don't forget to use a plastic pipe when you take out the out grip. As many of you here say, it you blow !!!! Yes, it will

actually, I did it with my brother, since I don't have the club holder. Everything went well, but I didn't use any double side tape to put on the shaft....so I just wonder if the grip would slip off, or it would turn after time. I checked already, everything seem to be tight, but at the end of the grip(not the butt), I could turn it a little bit. Not sure if they would tighten up over time.

Yeah it's fine. In fact that's how bicycle grips are installed.

I'd still put a small piece of tape at the butt to prevent moisture from entering. The grip size will be slightly smaller than standard since you don't have any tapes under it. That's what I do when people want a smaller than standard grip. To get even smaller just stretch the grip by 3/4" longer.
