Hello folks,

just to let you know, that I have again made an impulse buy on ebay.

Please could you help me to justify it?

Set of 2 year old Titleist 695MB (3-PW) including 3 Vokeys and a Titleist carry bag.
Clubs have Nippon 1050 shafts and GP multicompund grips.

Even though I am probably not able to play them, I am doing quite a good job justifiying the purchase:
- Deal was good (300$)
- I promised to myself to invest the same amount into lessons
- Will get rid of a big part of my club collection

These clubs are just so beautiful, and I wanted to try forged irons.

Are there 12 step programs for golf club addicts?

sorry, cant help ya, lol. i have over 2500 transactions on my ebay account. impulse purchases are a big problem for me. hell, i bought a 67 Mustang GTA on an impulse purchase a couple of years ago on ebay (it was a good deal). the only thing i can think of doing is cancelling your ebay account, but im not strong enough to do that. dont know about you though, heh. but in regards to golf purchases, take a look at this photo. this is about 2 months worth of impulse purchases, and this is only HALF of the pile! the other half is in my office downstairs!

That's a really good deal. Plus, if you keep on improving, these could be your next set of irons.

I really hope, I will be able to play them some day. They arrive tomorrow.

Yeah you did get a pretty good deal.

Why don't you think you can play them? I see plenty of people over 15 handicaps playing blades and I believe the MB's are blades correct?

Yeah you did get a pretty good deal.

They are indeed blades. I was really thinking of purchasing those clubs when Titleist came out with the AP2s. I hit the AP2s and fell in love. I also appreciate the forgiveness they offer on shots that are not struck properly. I think if you have the patience and time to practice with them, they will inevitably make you a better player. That said, practice time and patience will be key and are sometimes hard to come by with this game

I own the Titleist 695mb's and simply love them. I switch back and forth between them and my Ping S58s. You can't go wrong with those Titleist blades

i love ebay before, and make some impulse buys too, But i once got fake callaway wedges 3 for 180 . I felt all the "saving" were gone. Now i would only go to local golf shop, and ask them for a deal.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
