You would go? Or wouldn't go? Since you stated they are overrated...

sorry my post was very confusing i was in a rush when I posted it because I had to get to class on time.

Personally I think the scottys are over rated but thats just me. They seem to be almost a copy of the old ping design that was all the rage a long time ago. The putter I bought was the Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth Putter and that is the best for me. and it was about $150 compared to the typical 300 dollar scotty. It is all about feel and personal preference. Thats why tend to stay away from buying clubs online. If the scotty will give you that much more confidence when you put and you like the feel of it then by all means go ahead and buy it. I know I feel that way with titles golf balls. But even if money was no object I still wouldnt get one. Its all about you man go to the store pick up a few clubs putt them and decide for yourself. but a putter is with out a doubt the most important club in the bag and the one you should invest in the most. I guess my veiw with the big expensive putters is that most of the time its the person not the putter. You can get Jack will come out and beat us all at a putting competition with a damn croakae mallet. Feel and confidence are the most important things after that its all the same to me.

I went with wedges. I agree with the putter conversation going on for the most part.

Americanfighter said it best when he said "Feel and confidence are the most important things after that its all the same to me."

So long as you are comfortable with your putting skills, you can putt with a tree limb. It is all about getting to the green. A good wedge will give you confidence and help you get closer to one putting everything. A wedge can take you from 100yrds to inches. Any where from within a 100yrds, sand traps, rough, and the fairway is wedge territory.
