Demo Days was here this weekend so I thought I would share my thoughts. As you can tell by my signature line, I've always been a Nike guy... that goes for any sport. I had thought about buying a Dymo before Demo Days but I was talked into being patient and waiting.

Well, Nike had an unfair advantage. I had my mind made up I was going to hit some other drivers, but I was getting a Dymo... and I bought a burner!

The ball flight on the Nike was way too high. Same degree driver head, both with a stiff flex shaft, there was no comparison. The Burner produced a penetrating ball flight with plenty of carry and a low enough trajectory to produce some roll. The face of the burner is super hot, Dymo not so much. I can swing effortlessly with the burner and get it out there. Now if I can just figure out how to swing at 90% without putting it on the parkway.

About the Dymo Str8fit. I understand the concept of adjustability. But I disagree with the thought of "I'm having a bad day hitting slices, let me whip out my wrench and close the face 3 degrees on the next whole." To me, that's cheating. I know were not on tour, but it's simply against the rules. I couldn't take 8 steps in my mens basketball league and get away with it, why bend the rules if you're a competitive person.

I also didn't want a driver that I would tinker with all the time to fix my shot. I want my swing to fix my shot. So even if I did get a Dymo, it would be a normal, non-adjustable one. Partly the same reason I didn't give the R9 much thought. I wanted a neutral, standard driver. The taylormade '09 burner was way hotter than the Dymo, had a nice sound, great trajectory. You just can't beat it.

And honestly, if you are the type that wants adjustable, get the R9. That's a nice driver. I hit that as well.

I'm really not being biased either. You can look at my signature line and tell that. I've just been schooled. Just goes to show you shouldn't be biased with a certain brand. Check them all out. Although I will now look into taylormade irons. haha. I've heard good things about taylormade but this is my first TM club.

I hit the dymo and was very disappointed. The feel at impact was sort of harsh and I just didnt get consistent results. I dont know, maybe its just me.
