LAST 4 ROUNDS!!! I just got to play my first of the season yesterday and then it snowed last night. The season is quickly approaching though...looking forward to post here again when I have 4 rounds under my belt this year.

I am pretty jealous of you being able to play all year around.

Having an idex of 7 I feel your pain. That's pretty much what keeps us where we are. We need to learn to shoot lower scores more consistently to drop. Good Luck!!

I have now played 6 of the last 5 weeks, so the golf season has officially started. Last 4 scores (in order):

83 - 68.6/110
81 - 72.4/128
83 - 69.8/120
99 - 67/105

The 81 was the hardest course of the 4. The other 3 courses are fairly easy courses (plus the guys I played with on those courses are all 20+ handicaps so we played forward tees). The 4th rounds was yesterday (Sunday). I played horrible plus that course is easy tee to green, but has probably the most difficult greens in the city. Needless to say, my handicap will be going up next revision (2 rounds in 70's are falling off).

Here are my last four handicap rounds (all off the back tees):

76 - 71.2/120 - 3/8
73 - 74.0/129 - 3/11 (would have been in the red but I chunked a 2I into a marsh on 16 (long par 3) and took double)
89 - 71.2/120 - 3/20 (windy as hell and the fairways were super wet - nice combination)
82 - 74.4/132 - 3/22 (greens were still sandy/bumpy from aeration and top dressing - couldn't make anything from outside 5 ft)

87 - 69/126
102 - 71/128
91 - 69.5/122 not bad considering I shot a 51 on the front and a 40 on the back
88 - 68/112

Typical 18 handicapper, my handicap tracker is all over the board: mid to high 80's, mid 90's with 100's sprinkled in.

But my last 3 0f 4 show improvement. I think I am turning a corner thanks to 2 books that were recommended on the board: Golf is not a Game of Perfect & Fearless Golf

Thanks guys

I don't have the ratings/slopes in front of me but my last 4 of last season went...

75
70
67
71

The 75 was on a pretty difficult course. IIRC the rating was between 73 and 74. The 67 came on a short 9 hole course but I'll take 5 under any day of the week.

Can't wait for my 2009 season to get started!

The 105 was in pretty rough conditions on a course I'd never heard of much less seen before. I had pretty bad luck the whole round and couldn't read the greens to save my life.

Overall, this year has been a major improvement over where I left off last season.

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...
