906F2 Vs F4

So here is the deal....

I have not been able to get my hands on a 906F4, but I did demo a 906F2 stiff shaft. I was pretty good with the F2, but I has hitting low and far right...I attribute that to the stiff shaft. I managed to get around 185 consitently at the demo. I do have to say that I was in my work clothes, so I had no grip on my feet, nor a free range of motion.

Ok...so with that said.... I was wondering if i would benefit more from the F4. From what I can see, and the reviews seem that it would be easier to hit, and alot more forgiving. But it does have a shallow face...my concern is if it's going to be as easy as the F2 off the tee? I assume it should be easier off the deck too...right?

Any thoughts???

Nope. Shallow face will make it harder to hit off the tee.

It will be easier off the deck since the CG's lower.

The F4 will go a bit higher (about a degree, with the extra half of loft + the lower CG). If you're a high handicapper, too, you may want to consider a more forgiving club. If not, the F4 tends to be the one that's easier to hit: more loft, a bit more spin. You may or may not suit it - I recommend hitting the F4 before deciding.

I would go along with this, there are much easier and forgiving clubs out there.

I've never tried the F2, but bought the F4 last year. It's ony of my favourite clubs in the bag, lovely thing to hit. No problem hitting it off the deck or light rough.

I'm ok with that....I would have prefered a TM Burner .but ...i guess i should try it again...

i have the f4 and i love it. its awesome off the deck. the f2 would be better off the tee, but i rarely use my 3wood off the tee since i control my driver well. the f4 is a great 3wood from the fairway and rough and beyond. it launches fairly high and has great carry and a fair amount of roll. the f2 wasnt a good fit for me, and i got the f4 for $75
