so most of the courses in the area are aerating their greens...
some courses offer discounts...
do you mind aerated greens?
do you try to go somewhere else if its aerated?
do you count a round against your hcp if its aerated?

its impossible to read any break with a billion holes in the ground...
previous years when id see the practice green aerated... i wouldnt even score the round... just play and count it as a practice round... but this season for some reason... it really hasnt affected my score as much... i even have plenty of >6ft one putts... either im getting better or im getting luckier

I haven't made any long putts (including my two 15 footers for eagle) in a while now. I count the rounds, but I do try avoid the course right after they aerated and go somehwere where they did it two weeks ago. We have one course that isn't going to do it, so I have hit them up a few times.

It does suck putting on slow greens that don't break the way they should, but the greens will be great in a couple more weeks.

We're fortunate to have enough choices that we can play around the aeration schedules......we just make it a point to ask when considering a tee time, and good courses will tell you even if you don't ask. What does annoy the hell out of me is if we forget to ask and then show up to find the greens aerated and no one bothered to say anything when the tee time was booked.

Regardless, I post all my scores.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I played on aerated greens over the weekend. It sucks and i dont prefer it. The only thing you can really do is hit your putts or chips at the hole and hope.

Those are my thoughts also. You just have to deal with it and know that in a few weeks they will be back to normal.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.
