Crystal Falls in Leander is a challenging, but fun course (also a relative bargain). The 18th fairway slopes severly to the right, so make sure your tee shot lands on the far left of the fairway.
$2.50 per round--can't beat that

I play "poison" on the tee box with my buddies. If you don't know what i am talking about, here are the rules:

Each player has their driver or a wood. The object is to hit (think putt) your ball into each of the two tee markers and become "poison" (you can play 4 tee markers if you have a LONG time). Once you are poison, you must strike each of your playing partner's balls, eliminating them from the game, until you win by being the last remaining player. When you strike a tee marker or an opponent's ball at any time, you get another shot.

Perhaps not acceptable in all situations, but fun during casual rounds.

...maybe bring a couple of mitts so you and your partner can play catch. lol. sounds weird, but if i ever play on the weekend again with friends i may just do that.

That’s hilarious. Nothing says slow play like guys tossing around the baseball while waiting to hit in the fairway.

I think you’re onto something… If I could somehow get the cornhole boards on the back of the cart. A quick cornhole game for a beer would help distract my thoughts of hitting into the group in front of us.

You got it pal.
Cornhole has become the tailgating standard. Its popularity is in large part due to the fact it is one of the few games one can play while never needing to set down your beer.

On munis and some public courses, my buddies and I used to toss a football (just put it in the cart rack) If waiting on slow play.

I like to bring a portable DVD player and catch up on the latest porn videos. If you really want to speed things up, park your cart next to the green while the group in front of you is putting and read "Soldier of Fortune" while blasting an obnoxious porn video.
