I know you all play poker...i entered a 30 dollar freeroll tonight and 4 hours and 30 minutes later i came out on top...although I only won $7.80 I see why the pros only want the bracelet...I beat 888 other players and it is an amazing feeling even though i won a small amount...first win ever in such a big tourney...phew what a feeling.

Why did you win such a small amount, being the winner I would think that you would at least win your money back, no?

It was a freeroll meaning that the online company posted the money up...aka 30 bucks. So i profited it all...it was on bugsysclub.com...i have played on pokerstars but dont have money to put online at the moment. I have played on so many different sites though.

Does my handle give you a clue? Yes I have played many sites. Have actually won 3 big freerolls, ranging from 6-10,000 entrants. usually about 15-20% never play a hand, so actual number is less. Have won some smaller live local entry fee tournements 250 entrants or less. I have never done very much in the WSOP tournements where the better players are though. Live poker moves slower but you don't having people all in on J-9 off suit, pre flop, rarely more than 3 people see the flop. Omaha Hi-Lo is really a gas live. So many outs, figuring the odds is almost impossible.

A friend of a friend of mine was playing blackjack and got a free entry to a wsop qualifier...2 people out of 3000 get the 12000 dollar package...well he won...here is where the story gets interesting...it was on his WIFES account so he is trying so hard to be able to play for her, but right now she is entered in the WSOP. LOL..

I'm in a freeroll on pokerstars to get into another tournament with like a 1000 dollar prize pool...and out of 3900 people im like top 30 in chips with 77 left...so maybe i can be one of the top 27 who advance.

indeed, that's what kills online poker experience, but you can adjust to it. Basic rule is - be much tighter than usual, don't get into fights if you don't have a clear edge... I've been playing on ps.com for almost a year and holding my own... maybe down a $100 or so. it's fun, especially when your wife works long hours

L.A. poker players need to head over to Commerce. The LA Poker Classic is going now until March 2. I was there yesterday playing in cash games. Whenever I needed to take a little break I headed over to the high-limit section. I saw Johnny Chan and a few other recognizable pros there (with mountains of $100 chips and cash in front of them...)
