I've been struggling with my putting for some months now. It is the one weak part of my game. And I mean consistently weak. I do shoot some good scores, but if somebody else would have been putting it would have been maybe 5 shots better. Anyways I have been through a few putters in the last 2 and a half years. I've tried the Newport 2 (several times), which I like the look of a lot. Also tried the RedX5, the Seemore FGP, Newport 2.6, the Fastback and now finally the Circa 62 No. 1.

The Circa 62 No. 1 is a very small, thin-bladed putter with no real alignment aid to speak of besides a small circle, and yet I've never felt so confident over a putt before as with this putter. My stroke feels extremely natural with it and for some reason it also gets me out of the mind frame of obsessing over my alignment and aim and allows me to more or less just let go and roll the ball.

I think that for me less is more. I will update this in a couple of months as it will take a little while to really see if the No.1 holds up under pressure. I'm going down to Casa de Campo in a week to play Teeth of the Dog, so hopefully I will have some birdie putt stories! :)

That could be it..getting back to just feeling the putt go into the hole instead of obsessing on mechanics.

I've got a SC Circa 62 #3 this year and have never putted this good in my life. And I also quit being caught up in the mechanics and just relax and putt after I pick my line.

Been struggling a bit myself... I've always been a bit of a streaky putter, with more bad streaks than good streaks.

I'm on the verge of trying my first Scotty Cameron... and I really like the look of the Circa 62 No. 3, but I have ALWAYS wanted a Newport 2. I'm afraid to jump in and spend that much money and end up wishing I had gotten the other. I have the same issue with obsessing over alignment which is why I've always had something with the line in the back like the Newport 2, but I do like the idea of "letting go," so to speak and just trusting your stroke.

I like the classic design of the Circa 62 #1, but I doubt a different putter is going to fix your putting woes.
Ive been down that road a few times and it always comes back to the person holding the putter. If you dont read the green correctly and dont make a good stroke, you arent going to sink putts. As they say, "its the archer, not the arrow".

So when you guys picked up your respective Circa 62's, did it come with one of those oil cloth things?

This is my first Scotty, didn't know if I should be upset that I didn't get one with it.

I did not either, but a simple gun cloth from your sporting good stores will suffice. One little tip about it as well, (unless its raining!!) just put the cloth inside the head cover during the round, this keeps it oiled and feeling nice, then after the round give it a quick whipe, and your all set till you play again. If its raining, it may be a good idea to whipe it down before you put it in the HC, to protect if from rust. My circa #1 never got a spot of rust on it this way.

I switched from an old golfsmith putter that I had to a Ping G5i Tess blade putter last year. My putting like the OP's has been a weak part of my game. For some reason I just couldn't feel the ball anymore. So last week I switched back to the old/heavy Golfsmith putter and I am putting better than ever. This putter also doesn't have any allignment tools except for a simple dot on the center of the face... For some reason I just need a heavier putter. So now I am on the lookout for a decent putter again.

Scotty Cameron doesn't believe in the straight back, straight through swing. Neither do I, and on the pro tours, about 99% of golfers have an arc putting stroke.

That said, putters with minimal "toe hang" tend to work better for those with "squarer" strokes. The bigger the arc, the more toe hang people tend to prefer.

I putt differently yesterday and i use more of my left arm to swing. I actually putt better. I used to putt with my right hand which i tend to close my putter face and hit to the left.
