Can anyone explain what the advantage is supposed to be to leaning the golf ball on a tee towards the target is supposed to be? The "martini" golf tee company says their tee improves your accuracy and increase your roll by allowing the ball to lean towards the target 20% more than a standard tee. Does anyone lean their ball towards the target, and if so, does it actually do anything? Thanks

What's it do? Uhm, nothing. It's a gimmick.

The only real reason I play Zero Friction tees is because they don't break (often). If I gain yardage, it's likely measured in quarter inches.

Agree w/ iacas - zero friction don't break as often = less tees in your pocket. Performance gains from the tee itself = slim.

yeah, these responses pretty much confirm what i thought. I rarely break a tee when hitting a driver anyway; it's pretty much only on a par 3 or when im teeing off with an iron. (most of the time, you can find a broken bit around and save the tees you have in your pocket anyway)

I realized a while ago that i was buying tees that were way too long and putting them in the ground so far that all they could do was snap when i hit a drive. I've realized that buying shorter tees and barely putting them in the ground makes them last quite a bit longer.

oh well, i guess it's all experience anyway
