Tipping Caddies

kingofcars08: I'd be interested in knowing what you make as a full time caddie (if you don't mind sharing).  I'm a part time caddie, but would love to make it full time if the money was close to my regular salary.  There's a guy at my course who started out as an assistant pro & saw that the money was much better as a caddie (and much more time for golfing), so he's been a full time caddie for about 8 years now.  I couldn't get up the nerve to ask him what his yearly take home pay is ... :)

I caddied in the summer of 1962 and 1963 at a ranking country club in my area.

I earned $2.50 per round as a B caddy. Never made it to A caddy status, which would have earned me $3.25 per round.

I used to get tipped often in the pro shop I worked at. I get out my regular customers who played everyday a little early and they would come back with a tip at the end. or get me lunch. stuff like that.
