you guys are right.. i should have said i would like a whole new set.. i like what i have now but i do not have a 3 or 5 wood , or a 52 or 60 wedge.. i also think its time for a new driver i think its 4 years old maybe older i just feel with the new drivers i would get more distance and the irons i have now are also good but i really wanna try forged or blades

Looks like we're similar in handicap-I just got a new set of Macgregor MT Pro blades, and while they are terribly nice...I'm probably not quite ready for them. I'll keep the short irons in my bag for a while and only use the long irons at the range-they are not forgiving in the least. I think your CG Golds are great clubs, you've got a Scotty Cameron putter, and I wouldn't recommend switching your driver unless you're having shaft/ball flight or serious slice issues.

That being said, it's always fun to go to Golf Galaxy and hit some drivers/3 woods on the simulator. I went last month and fell in love with an 8 degree Diablo neutral driver and 15 degree 3 wood-but that was the first brand new driver I ever purchased in my life. It's fun to hit, long with a little draw for me-but I'm not really scoring any better than with my old Big Bertha or Taylor Made Ti Bubble 2 drivers.

i had a feeling mizuno was going to get brought up....

my advice.. go hit every iron you can get your hands on. over and over again.

go home.

go back and hit every club again...

then make up your mind.

forget what anybody on here is telling you.. everybody swings different and has a different perspective on what "feel" is... mizuno irons are nice and buttery yes... but they may not be for you.

get off this board and go hit something.

Vokey 54.10 & 58.04

i hit the MP 52's

I hit both of those yesterday. I loved the feel and response of the mp-52's, but hit the AP2's just a little bit better (and they felt amazing as well!). I would buy either and be happy though!

I couldn't hit a 3wood with any consistency until I got the Tour Edge Exotics cb2 3W. I love my exotics woods.

For a full fit set of Muira's it is not too bad maybe $1800 to $2200 if you don't get too exotic. Baiscally a little over twice the cost of a Mizuno set.

One of my golf friend's dad plays on a small tour in the UK and has a muira set

What I Play:

Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

We all have those days when we want new clubs. i guess this calls for a trip to golf galaxy

Take a trip to your nearest PING fitter. They've got a set of sticks for you...whatever you are shooting for: game improvement, players sticks, deep distance drivers, putters, etc.

One thing. My friend has one of the new 2009 Tour Edge Exotics fairway woods. If I was looking for a new fairway wood I would go buy it instantly. Those things have to be the best club I have ever hit it. I hit it past my driver, which is why i'm looking for a new one.

    • The MTB Prime and Prime X had issues with the cover being too soft and getting cut too easily. They said it was more prevalent in the Prime than the Prime X which I found odd because that was the exact opposite of my experience.
    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
