Rented apartment with another couple. Very comfortable and clean. Cheaper than staying at Ritz Carlton since you can bring your own booze, food and snacks. Two bedrooms, two baths. The whole area is beautiful.
Played:
Plantation Course: Aereated the week before but in good shape. Pretty but not superb. Ladies friendly. Easiest course. Nice to play first.

National: Played Ridge and Cove. Excellent and in great shape. Lots of elevation changes and some beautiful holes. Worth it!

Reynolds Landings: Very nice and challenging. Back nine very tough. Lots of elevated greens surrounded by sloping sides, hidden ponds on second and third shots. Very diffficult for the ladies. Only 20-40 yard advantage from ladies tees. Beautiful holes by the lake on the front nine. Worth it!

Staff friendly and very nice
Weather: perfect. Rained early one morning befor 6am and made round cart paths only.
Price. Over $320 for the wife and I to play each day.(!!!)
Did not play signature course Oconee ($260 per person)(!!!)
I hear Great Waters is the most beautiful course but undergoing renovations until end of the year or beginning of next.

Highly recommend for a guys outing for several days.
Good but not excellent for the wives due to course difficulty (and costfor two). Both wives shoot 90-100 on home courses but neither one break 100 on these courses.

Approx 1hr and 30 min from Atlanta airport.
Several good restaurants in the area outside the complex.

    • Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

    • Day 295 6-26 Low point control with towel again. Getting better but not swinging fast enough tonight.
    • Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.
    • I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
