I've been working on a few things and they are finally coming together. I went to the range at lunch and hit the ball as well as I ever have from wedge to driver. I only have one swing thought which is the same for every club. My ball flight is perfect...a high, boring draw. At least it is high for me...but I think it's right where I want.

It's just one of those times where I really want to keep my swing right where it is. What I need to do is tape myself and store it...probably the closest thing to bottling your swing.

Now, if I can just get the putter going...

Fairways and Greens.

Yes absolutely, this happened to me about three weeks ago. I made a thread on it called "Forgetting last weeks swing." I had my swing really right where I wanted it and then I had to work a ton of hours the next week and then "bam" im back to my old tricks again.

The thing with me is that I think im more of a feel player. When I think sooo hard on doing this and that I screw myself up. I try and either play golf or hit balls every day just to keep things going. Anyway I know what you mean and it would be nice.

Sometimes I wish I could tie my swing up, stuff it in a laundry sack, and toss it in the Hudson river so that I'll never hear from it again. Does that count?

Sure, but not in the manner I was thinking of. Good point though.

Fairways and Greens.

I'd bottle my swing, but nobody would buy it. Currently it still lacks carbonation... it's too flat.

But that 74 I had the other day was some of the best tee-to-green ballstriking I've had. When I can force myself to do what I'm working on every time, it comes off quite beautifully.

One of the things I don't like about the driving ranges are the controlled circumstances, more often than not you are already lined up with your target, and even if you choose a target off center you still have a basis for lining yourself up. Whereas out on the range you have no such luxury and are forced to use your best judgement on doing so. I haven't really been playing long enough to worry about "bottling" my swing though, as I am still at the point where I improve significantly every time I go out.

Every couple of months I go through about a 2 week period of INSANE driving. I'm talking 340-350 with NO thought at all. Then suddenly it disappears back to 280-300. It's either timing or hitting it RIGHT on the sweet spot. I'd love to bottle that and do it all year.
