My favorite quotes were: Cindy talking about Pam "She hits it like a man."

Then Pam says about Danielle: "She wants it bad." and that was followed by Cindy saying "She likes to grind it out."

She wants it bad and she likes to grind it out eh? Sounds good to me. I guess I'm sick.

Danielle usually hits 14 fairways...Lets see that would be 100% yet she blocked one 50 yards right?Hmmm those girls better watch out on the LPGA. I hope she wins so I see her 88-91 at the LPGA kingsmill tourney. She also needs sunscreen, she is 28 and looks 48 - ouch

I can't stand Danielle and I hope Pam makes mincemeat out of her! Even when Danielle is saying something "nice" she realy doesn't mean it. I guess bleach can go to one's head...I think Erik mentioned that once or twice.

Also, it would be nice for a Westchester County girl to take home the exemption.

Seconds feel like minutes, minutes feel like hours, hours seem like days...
When will 9est / 8cent get here? I can't take it, how does it end.
I am excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. The last time I felt like this was the first time I had, well, we don't need to get into details.
Damn you Big Break 3, Damn you!
It's on;y 9 hrs 30 min 45 secs, I can makeit. 9 hrs 30 min 40secs, it's not that long, 9 hrs 30 min 30 secs, see the time is just flying by, 9 hrs 30 min 20 secs, it's like trying to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. 9hrs 29min 30 sec, 20sec, 10 sec.....

Pam went away from her game plan a little, I guess, and started hitting driver. Granted, she started out with some awesome shots, but her putting really let her down. One birdie in 34 holes of golf. Pretty pathetic.

Not one thing Danielle said made any sense. NONE.

So Blondie won it. The mind boggling commentary continues. I'm going to go on record right now and say she doesn't even make the cut in any of the LPGA events she plays in. Yeah, I know...I'm really going out on a limb.

I am writing this on 3 hours sleep, so forgive me if it makes no sense. I was at the Piston's game last night (15 point victory over Philadelphia) and didn't get home until 11:00. I was up till almost 1:00 watching, but I couldn't take a chance of finding out the results. Thankfully for TiVo I was able to forward over much of the unnecessary stuff, like the Golf Central crew breaking down the obvious and oh yeah, much of what Danielle said. I wish they had shown the other ladies watching to get their reaction as it progressed instead of the talking heads. In all, it did make for great TV.

I must admit that the interviews they showed during the round had me fooled. I was sure Pam had won. Pam looked like she was more upbeat and smiling for the first hour, where as Danielle looked like she had been crying. Pam was unbelievable early on the way she hit the ball. Danielle looked like she was ready to collapse at any moment. I know the weather was bad, but the putting was terrible. Neither one could lag a thing. Granted, I have not putted under that type of pressure and these ladies would both whip me, but come on. Neither one will have a chance on tour if they putt it like that. OK, neither one really has a chance right now anyway. All in all I was impressed by both of them. Danielle did finally show that her Driver was her strength. She did a great job of being in play off the tee. Pam hit some fantastic recovery shots. Her inexperience just caught up with her. The way she handled the match play situation was like a real vet. Making Danielle replace her ball was brilliant. She was in her head right away.

After watching the whole show I am left wondering if Danielle was truly a bitch or if she was too dumb to know that what she said made her look like one. I just don't think the filter between her brain and her mouth works all of the time. I don't think she is smart enough to be calculating in her actions. Pam is the one who came off sounding bitchy last night. Danielle should use the $5000 towards putters and any putting related device, book, etc. In fact, sell the Crossfire and use the proceeds to hire Dave Pelz.

Overall BBIII was great. I can't wait till IV. I will be falling asleep at my desk any minute nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I cannot tell you how happy I am that Danielle won the event last night....The other girls were so jealous of her "Barbie" looks, that THEY looked ridiculous...She does look somewhat older than 29, however...She can eat chocolate chip cookies in my bed ANYTIME...

Indeed, the show was best watched with "MUTE" button on... Is it me, or did Pam showed, that she's a real "See You Next Tuesday" ?!? The re-marking of 1ft putt, "I'll wait until she's ready to go and say that's good", moving around on the tee while Barbie was swinging - give me a break. This is behavior I get from my half-drunk 30 hcp buddies on saturday morning. She proved her immaturity (is that a word?) and lack of experience through-out the match. Her next appearance should be on Jerry Springer show.
Sure she has more game than Barbie had last night, but so do I, comparing to the 4-time club champion at my club. One thing is have talent, other is to do something with it.
Except for making no sense, all that Barbie was saying and doing didn't have even a touch of evil. Stupid but classy, that would be my judgment. Maybe I was mesmorized by them boobs... possible. Well done Dan !

I'm glad to see that someone else saw the event ALMOST exactly the same way I did....Yes, Pam is a real "See You Next Tuesday"....When she whispered, "Danielle couldn't see me from the tee box", when she was moving around (someone should have kicked her butt while she was bending over), how did Danielle know she was bending over if she couldn't see her??? DUH!!!!!!! And, telling Danielle the putt was good AFTER Danielle got over the putt was just BUSH LEAGUE, if you get my drift....

The point there is that if you're focused on your golf ball, you're not going to notice movement 20 feet away. It was bad timing - and Pam should have waited - but I buy that Pam thought she was far enough out of sight.

Re-marking the putt and waiting until she's over it to say "that's good" is match play. That's how it goes, and it can hurt or help you. It doesn't make you a jerk - that's just how you choose to play it. C'mon, you've seen Ryder Cups - they do the same kind of stuff there. Match play is match play. Pam did a good job getting in Danielle's head (I bet she found it rather spacious).

Match play is match play.

What happend to "gentelman's game" ? C'mon Erik, I hope you're just playing devil's advocate here and actually agree - that was pathetic behavior.

That's wrong argument to say, that it's ok, because they do at Ryder's Cup. It's like saying it's OK to bang room service girls, since Kobe did it. Can I slash my wife's throat, because it's OK according to O.J. ? You're just a step away from hissing "Miiiisssssit... Miiiissssit, Nooooonnan!!" while opponent is putting. Call me old-fashioned - I'll never play this game that way.

I must say that I am not surprised in the least that Danielle won. I am actually happy she won, I would love to see her on the LPGA. I am having trouble figuring out who would endorse her though. SHe doesn't look wholesome enoughto have the normal LPGA endorsments; Nabisco, Keebler, Kraft, Summer's Eve, and Tampax. I would picture her as having an endorsement deal with the good folks at Marlborough or Budweiser or even Trojan, Viagra, or Cialis for that matter. My personal favorite would be a Fredrick's of Hollywood endorsement.

On to Pam. That was the worst gamesmanship I have ever seen. "I'll wait til she gets over the ball then tell her to pick it up." What the hell? Was she waiting for her caddy to say "Good one boss, way to mess w/ her melon" The one on her neck not her chest. "Could you remark it please?" What!? The putt was a foot. Granted rules are rules. Personally I would have rathered her putt out and get off the green so I could concentrate and not worry about ball markers or feeling rushed. But since you can't do that in match play, just give her the putt. The bending over was straight up BS. Danielle handled it much better than I would have. "She couldn't see me." I yelled at the TV so loud I woke my kids up. She turned down a job on Wall Street? Good, I would hate to know that she had anything to do with my money with as little common sense as she displayed. Pam did pull off some shots last night. I don't think she could have hit those shots twice in a row, but even a blind squirrel finds anut everyonce and a while. However, she got beat with a couple of bogey's, pars and one birdie. Not exactly LPGA caliber if you ask me. I think she could be areal contender with some more experience. She was there with 3 years of playing and Danielle has what, 13?

Did anyone else think it was funny the way Pam just had to stand there while thy were handing Danielle the exemptions, the gift certificate and the car. I just kept waiting for Danielle to start up the car, yell at Pam "Hey bean pole, you were right, I am clearly the stonger player and I am glad you admitted it." Giving her the finger as she hits the gas. You gotta know that the other contestants were pissed that Danielle won. They have to be sitting there thinking, not only is she a bomb shell and could make my husband or boyfriend forget my name, she is a better golfer than me.

See you all for Big Break 4.

It's match play, and it's gentlemen. Pam knew that Danielle was going to do all that she could to get inside Pam's head, so Pam went on the offensive early.

A mentally strong competitor - something Danielle has said she is, would have been able to brush it off. She would have said "yeah, my mistake, oh well" and moved on. Making her re-putt is part of the game - match play is against an opponent , so mind games are part of the deal - from the club you choose on the tee to the speed at which you hit your putts to what you say and do to try to rattle your opponent. Tiger Woods played extremely slowly in the last round of The Masters. Why? Because DiMarco plays so quickly. It was essentially match play. Are we lambasting Tiger for trying to rattle DiMarco? No.
It's like saying it's OK to bang room service girls, since Kobe did it. Can I slash my wife's throat, because it's OK according to O.J. ?

Uh, now you're stretching. Such an analogy isn't even worthy of this response, but it's all you get.

They have to be sitting there thinking, not only is she a bomb shell and could make my husband or boyfriend forget my name, she is a better golfer than me.

I remain firmly in the camp that Danielle is hideous. She's ugly, she's fake, she's dumb, she's plastic, she's erratic, she's got a terrible short game. She doesn't look good golfing or doing anything else I can imagine.

I'm pretty sure many of the other women don't agree with your assessment that she's a "bomb shell" unless you mean the kind that explodes from too much silicone and surgery. She's hideous. Five out of five gal friends I surveyed agree.

Tell me you're just writing that becaused you're hacked that Danielle won?

Maybe if Danielle was concentrating more, which I am sure can be quite a feat, she wouldn't have seen Pam move. However, 1.)Pam should have sat still regardless. Who wants to be the jerk moving around when someone swings. 2.) The girl is 6ft. tall, who isn't going to se her bend over? She was also closer than 20ft, she was standing on the tee box.

The putting; yeah Ryder Cup, you're going to have to putt everything out. But this is BIG BREAK, there is a huge difference between being a jerk and being practical. I have concieded holes after hitting a drive out of bounds because I knew the person I was up aginst wasn't going to miss the green in two. She was just being ridiculous and immature. Her lack of experience really showed.

Nope. The better, albeit dumber, gal won. And Pam still has more skill and potential than Danielle. She's just gotta flesh it out. That she wasn't even sure how to hit that one flop shot shows that.

Maybe if Danielle was concentrating more, which I am sure can be quite a feat, she wouldn't have seen Pam move. However, 1.)Pam should have sat still regardless. I'm not suggesting that Pam shouldn't have stood still. Who isn't going to see her? Me. Any decent golfer. I've seen golfers hit balls on which a fly lands during their swing. They don't even notice the fly. Her shadow was nowhere near Danielle and she was at least 20 feet away. Watch how many steps they take to get to the tee.

Pam shouldn't have done it, but it also shouldn't have been as big a deal as it was to Danielle. A good golfer wouldn't have noticed. The other things Pam did - unlike this one - I fully support.
The putting; yeah Ryder Cup, you're going to have to putt everything out.

No, actually you don't, and that's not the point of my comment. The point is that gamesmanship exists even in the highest level of professional match play events. Ballesteros was famous for it, as are Azinger and Faldo and others.

But this is BIG BREAK, there is a huge difference between being a jerk and being practical.

It's a match against a person. "Practical" is trying to win.

I have concieded holes after hitting a drive out of bounds because I knew the person I was up aginst wasn't going to miss the green in two. She was just being ridiculous and immature. Her lack of experience really showed.

No offense, but that's kinda dumb on your part. You birdie with the second ball, they hit one awkward shot or lip out a putt and you've tied. Please don't confuse dumb with practical. If you do, it's no wonder you side with the dumbest person I've had the displeasure of seeing on my TV in years.

"Gentleman's game"??? I was amazed at the bitchy bickering from both of them. Gentlemen they were not. Women can get pretty nasty. I've been in a ton of brutal matches but we're always "gentlemen."

    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
    • Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
    • Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
